I fear His judgement over something.

We have all fallen.
No one deserves grace.
People who have committed horrendous crimes can be forgiven.
It's about repentance and knowing without Gods help we will repeat what we hate.
The trouble I find personally is the shame I carry.
It makes me want to run and hide.
To hate myself and identity as a worthless piece of garbage.
This is not how God sees us.
He knows everything we have done and paid the price for us.
We can be forgiven.
Acceptance of our broken state and need for deliverance.
He loves you perfectly.
You don't have to behave perfectly to be loved by Him.

Who I am goes against the beliefs of my church @Bessie78.

I believe that Gods judgements and His instructions are based in love.
Many of us put others down.
We judge to lift ourselves up.
We have all sinned.
There is no one righteous in their flesh. None of us can boast that we are better than anyone else.
I believe that as we connect with Gods love, we find healing.
When we hide from Him, like Adam and Eve. Our shame and guilt control us and keep us separated from His love.
God wants you.
He wants good for you.
I acknowledge I fight with the belief He is up there in heaven waiting to hit me.
To harm me in anyway.
It is challenging to change the way we see God and see ourselves.
However, I believe it's possible.
I keep surrendering.
Giving up to God my old beliefs.
Choosing to commit my life another minute to His sovereign plan.
I encourage you.
Don't give up.
You may not see it all now.
However, in the years to come. I pray you hold onto the hope that God is good and He is for you.🦋💕

I am catholic and have recently realised that I fall into a diverse community that goes against my church’s beliefs @Bessie78

It's possible - some would say axiomatic - who you are is acceptable to God as one of His greatly loved children. Churches are human institutions with rules and beliefs sometimes shaped by history and ideas, sometimes formed by the inspirations of a founder. I guess that's why there are so many different approximations to right worship and ways of life across the different churches.
God's grace and mercy extend across Creation. One of the great mysteries is that fallible humans have compiled creation stories and histories and books of laws that still remain to be interpreted and understood by other fallible humans yet are transcendent as the Word.
I pray we all find solace in His loving-kindness and forgiveness.

I think the Catholic Church is still finding its way. Pope Francis blesses many previously shunned.

Thanks @Dimity. As a Christian I accept everyone for who they are. I don’t question anyone. That to me is part of being a Christian.
I know Pope Francis is slowly moving forward, it’s still ingrained in me though. I’m having trouble with accepting myself and part of it is to do with my religious upbringing.

I recognise that I don't have a good understanding of the Catholic denomination.
However, I believe Christianity is about relationship. In healthy relationships we are accepted for who we are.
You are loved by God. Regardless of people's opinions within the church.
