@maddison hey there Maddison .. Wasnt anything in the mail box so i went rummaging through sane hallways , reading letters old and new. Every door seems to have sadness and desperation. Endless stories of people waiting , hoping , praying things will change.
For Maddison
She Waits
She stands on the bridge the ripples go by
Autumn leaves falling dreams slowly die
Was it her calling or was it her fate
The years she spent waiting and left it to late
and she waits
Innocent children and mothers with visions
endures the pain of their loved ones decisions
4 in the morning they havnt come home
Alone in the dark with her hand on the phone
All that they where and could ever be
Last leaf falls from her family tree
and she waits....
His wedding vows broken the day they where read
Years of silence and letters unread
In the arms of the lovers and flights far away
pretending rose petals in the place he once lay
Paper back novels a wine glass and pills
Thousands of pieces of hearts paid his bills
Making her plans through rain drops on glass
To feel her bare feet on the freshly mown grass
and she waits.....
She waits in her room for the party to leave
Depends on his mood she might win a reprieve.
Same painted bruised same old torn dress
For now she just better go clean up his mess
Wont do it again ..... yes i do understand
Feeling the wrath of the back of his hand.
Patiently bakes the arsenic in the bread
All that could be's already been said
suit case is packed and the metres been read
But frailty anchored her shoes made of lead
so she waits....
Wind rain and cold sweat and long summer heat
Leans on car windows working the street
Night after night repeating her lies
of paradise islands in the pools of her eyes
The lines on the side walks extend to her face
Human stain endless pain hard to erase
The air ships of dreams that fall from our skies
The gardens abandoned for crooked bow ties
She passed that cold night now her waiting is over
She now waits for me as she lays in her clover
Now i wait
The song at her wake just too sad just too long
So lets leave where we are and go where we belong
Wait no more
Every day is a new years day.. a gift to be unwrapped.... a chance to begin again
@maddison @Sophia1 @Appleblossom nature lover and all the others that have been kind to me.
Happy new year
Was it her calling or was it her fate
The years she spent waiting and left it to late
and she waits
Innocent children mothers with visions
Bareing
