Re: rough time
Waiting to go / get home @MDT .
Friday arvo is dragging out quite badly. This morning raced along.
Any new games on the PC or Xbox? The new soccer one looks pretty fantastic, street style and new skills/tricks.. I can't remember if it was fifa 19 or 20, i get confused with the years / numbers. I'm going to pickup the 'last' assassins creed game soon, the price is pretty reasonable now lol 🙂

Installing middle earth shadow of war atm too.
Only 13 bucks. I played the first one.
Good luck with the rest of the arvo Gaz. Hope you don't go too crazy.

Re: rough time
I am presently getting my pc upgraded. Bought new hardware the other day and picked it up yesterday. I dropped it off with my friend whose dad repairs and fixes computers a lot. So that's good. But it set me back several hundreds of dollars. But then my hardware was 7 years old

Re: rough time
I have read back a little but struggling to keep up with everyone.
I hope your specialist appt. went ok today.
I wish your family treated you better. You are much loved and valued here hun but I know you don't always get that in your everyday life.
Hoping today has been a little better.
Lots of hugs and

Re: rough time
I hope it doesn't get worse for you, perhaps you could join some groups or something to make some more friends?
evening @MDT
@Snowie ❤❤❤
specialist was ok, mostly just keep doing what im already doing, just added in a few instructions. found out surgery went well but went for longer then first anticipated as 2 were hard to get out and 1 kept breaking so had to be sure it was removed before stitching up.
watch and act with the nerves atm, I go and see her in 3 weeks time as then itll have been over a month. if nerves are still playing up then we discuss other options.

Re: rough time
Yeah the drought is pretty bad in many places. I think governments need to look at desalination plants. Need more of them

Re: rough time
After a really big appt with a geriatrition the other day theyve said he has early alzheimers. Provided some answers at least even if it s made things worse at home and with family. Even though i know it was the right thing to do im doubting it now.
Your newer module sounds pretty good. Is this one a big topic? Does your assignment need to be finished soon?
Hearing you on the will to study but no motivation. I have 3 courses in the health field im indending to do just need to save abit and find a right time though im not sure there will ever be a right time. Irs ones i didn't come across till the other day so ive saved the course guide for now.
Mouth is still really sore. I did speak with the oral specialist and also my surgeon yesterday. They said the nerve damage is likeley but give it 3 weeks as most will be healed or close to healed by then and then we will go from there. If it gets worse or if within the next week the pain management (which is simple and often what hospitals tell u to do with otc pain reliefs) except shes given a higher strength of anti inflammatories then ask for an earlier appointment . So far its not doing anything and often wakes me up when i do eventually get to sleep so not sure ill wait 3 weeks unless i start to see some improvment. Still quite alot of swelling atm on one side which is the one thats causing problems.
Theres not much else that can be done for now besides that and saline solutions, keeping clean etc. Shes told me to stay or pureed/mashed thing for another week though. Cant really chew anyway.
The stitches are becoming annoying though as anywhere im my mouth all i can feel is those and the ends dangling. Hoping that means they will start to break off pretty soon. Just causes pain as even sips of water seem to tug them everywhere. She said she doesnt want to take them out or cut the ends off or anything to not disturb natural healing procres though so just dealing with it. I forget sometimes the extent of this op even though it doesnt really seem like much, she reminded me and said to give myself at least another week before i start to feel normal again.

Re: rough time
I think it was a good idea to get some clarity about the state of your pop's health. I don't think there is any need to doubt yourself. It's a shame your family isn't more helpful as you've got your hands full. It makes me cross when they don't help.
Mouth operations are hard to recover from. Hopefully everything will start to settle down soon. I can still feel a couple of little dissolvable stitches sticking out of my wounds. It's 7 weeks now since my surgery. They take a while to dissolve and fall off. At least mine don't interfere with eating though; I wouldn't like the pain and discomfort either.
