@Bella1978. WOW you have done your research. Yes if you own a,house, it may need to be sold to pay for aged care services, if you don't have a huge wad of money hidden away. My Gran had to pay the extra, so had to sell her home. But my uncle who didn't have assets, just paid the percentage of his pension. I think it's a,very fair system. However, it doesn't take into account situations like yours. And in days gone by, our parents probably hoped the house would be sold upon their death, so their children would inherit some money. Unfortunately that will now only happen for the rich.
Will you be able to work part time and get a,part pension? That might be good. Rather than working full time.
My mum's in hospital. Respite care for a,few nights after injuring herself. It's on my ' home' thread.
My boy is good. He looked after mum's dog today after work and then looked after ours, as I didn't get home til after 7pm. And now he has mum's dog sleeping on his bed with him every night until mum gets home from hospital
Would be good to hear how your mum's tests went. And to see how she goes with a home visit.
I'm exhausted, so going to sleep now. Think I'll sleep for at least 10 hours.
Hugs to you.
Hello and night night @outlander. TTalk tomorrow.
