Hello @Bella1978, @outlander, @Former-Member

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

@Shaz51.

My son and his soccer team won the Gaza today. They are happy. But at the end, one of our team lost their cool with the opposition and punched/pushed him. The other kid punched him in the face. Other team got red carded. Can't play for the rest of the season. Our player only got yellow carded. Off for the rest of today's game. Think our player should have been red carded too. As he did first punch. Even though the other player was kicking him in the ankle all game.

So - a bad end to the game. Then one parent from other team started arguing with out coach & brought race into it.Most of the team are refugees from one country. I almost intervened at this point. But the coach was calm.

Still in big city as mum is wanting to shop

@utopia

hey sweets, how are you?

ive been ok. still waiting on formal diagnosis for mum. they did memory/cognitive testing yesterday and she will be coming home for a visit tomorrow. they tried to do testing and the home visit last week but she wasn't agreeable to it.

i have my good days and bad days. i try to keep busy for the most part. otherwise i think too much. have had to look into what would happen if mum went into aged care and what needs to be done if that happens. and also worried about what happens to me as i live in mum's home. i am a "protected person" in mum's home whilst im eligible for centrelink payments (and mum will not have to pay exorbitant fees except for 85% of pension) but once i am no longer eligible, mum's home becomes an assessable asset and she will have to pay a maximum daily payment fee in addition to 85% of the pension. either way i would have to come up with the money and pay that (as mum can't) or the house would need to be sold and a bond be paid to the aged care facility. its taken me a while to fully understand the process. basically though, if you have any assets, the government will assess them and the person has to pay according to how much assets they own. obviously if the house gets sold, i need to go back to work and find a place. its all a bit overwhelming. also trying to deal emotionally with what is going on with mum. just all gets on top of me but im doing the best i can. and my sister is stressing me out (as per usual).

anyway ... how have you been luv? i havent caught up on your thread yet. just wanted to pop in though. what have you been up to? how is your son, and your mama? ooh, did you go on the park run on saturday? ive started going walking again as i had gotten really unmotivated and wasnt going. feeling better now that im exercising again.

what you up to? im just about to do some colouring in.

xxxx
