Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

@Bella1978@outlander

Hello girls. Sunny here today. Birds are chirping and singing loudly.

I'm off to see my psychologist now.

Hope you are both having a nice day.

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

Good luck with your psych today @utopia
Sounds like a loveley start to the morning

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

@utopia

hey luv, how are you?

how did your psychologist appt go? i hope it was a good session for you.

sounds like the weather was beautiful yesterday!

have you had a good day?

this morning i had to call centrelink as i need to find out what will happen if mum ends up going into aged care. it may sound premature but i need to know what the options are, how it will impact mum, and also how it will impact mum - as i live in her home. im slowly getting my head around it but there is a lot of information to take in.

saw my uncle in hospital this afternoon. he seemed in good spirits, we were having a nice chat 🙂 they couldnt remove all of the tumour in his bowel, some of the cancer was too close to blood vessels so they will try to get rid of it with chemotherapy, as he will need to have chemo for the spots they found on his lungs 😞 its pretty full on for him atm.

mum has been good this week. i spoke to her on the phone today, she was getting grumpy with me - she was in one of her demanding moods *sigh* ... i'll go and see her tomorrow.

what have you been up to luv? any plans for the weekend?

@outlander

hey sweets - above is what has been going on in my life atm. how are you? is the pain in your hand settling down? how is your pop? i hope he is behaving for you!! what is on the agenda for the weekend?

@Shaz51

hey Shaz! how has your week been? xxx

have been thinking of you both, just hard to get time to sit down and email like i used to.

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

@outlander

hey luv. im trying not to get too caught up in it all. the way they have set up all the aged care fees, etc is a whirlwind. i am getting my head around it though. and if i go back to work, it impacts my living situation greatly. just need to know what may happen if certain situations arise. have had a few conversations with centrelink the past few days hehe! keeping busy is good for me though - not too busy though! lol

the pain in your hand is getting better luv? youre such a good big sister! do you go riding with them too luv?

xxxxx

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

Im sure it would be then throw in going back to work! @Bella1978 its alot to handle but perhaps cross that bridge when it come to it re work..
Yeah the pains subsiding but not stomach and chest still having heaps of troubles mixed in with many meltdowns the past few days.

I use to ride but havent ridden in quite a while now. Maybe one day

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI

Hello @Shaz51@outlander@Bella1978. I hope you are all well.

My appointment went well. I'm feeling a lot better. Happy moments are occurring.

Glad your mum had such a good week. Have the hospital staff advised when their assessment will be completed? I'd find it really frustrating not knowing. It's good you are doing your research now - while you have the time. It's a lot of information to sort through.

Planning on doing the 5km ParkRun (walk) tomorrow morning. Then watching my son's soccer game. Then helping my mum shop for a recliner armchair.

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI
