Question 5: What do you do if you feel unsafe? What supports are available?

Re: Topic Tuesday // Healthy Relationships in Lockdown // Tues 31st August, 7:00-8:30PM AEST

Question 5: What do you do if you feel unsafe? What supports are available?

If you feel unsafe during or after an argument or anticipate that you would not be safe if you communicate and enforce your boundaries, contact a support line about how to best manage the situation.

1800RESPECT                   1800 737 732

Mensline Australia               1300 789 978

The Line                              1800 695 463 (1800 MYLINE)

SANE Australia                   1800 187 263 (Managing relationship where mental health issues are present)

WIRE                                  1300 134 130

Face to face counselling

If you are currently unsafe, please contact 000 for emergency services. In states like NSW and Victoria, you are also allowed to leave home for safety reasons and to seek out DFV related services during lockdown.

@BPDSurvivor hahaha, if only.

Re: Topic Tuesday // Healthy Relationships in Lockdown // Tues 31st August, 7:00-8:30PM AEST

Sorry, @Daisydreamer . It wasn't my intention to try to hijack the conversation off into another direction.

I should have kept the language within the topic-at-hand bounds of small-scale relationships, where the overall concept is still extremely relevant (IMHO, at least).

e.g. If, within my own household, I want to go, but the other people there want me to stay - why is it wrong for me to do what's right for me?

(Edit: Apologies if this is still OT. Feel free to ignore this if it is.)

Question 6: What are some ways to look after ourselves after household/relationship conflict? What are your best tips for self-care?

Re: Topic Tuesday // Healthy Relationships in Lockdown // Tues 31st August, 7:00-8:30PM AEST

I have found it great that video and voice calls are back, even if they cant replace face to face contact. Thats something good ive found in lockdown 2
