Re: not coping

I can do sitting @outlander 🫂💗

Re: not coping

@Snowie I can understand to some extent that feeling when people say CSA happened years or decades ago and you should be over it. I’ve heard that many times including from family. I don’t know if they are trying to protect themselves or they really think that. Some people definitely think that, but they just don’t understand.

Only you know what it’s like for you @Snowie and that’s all that matters -it’s your life.

Re: not coping

Thanks @Till23

Unfortunately it isn't the first time that it has been dismissed and it probably won't be the last. If I could distance myself from them I would.

Re: not coping

It does not surprise me @Snowie it will probably be their continuing narrative. So you have to remember that your narrative is the only thing important to you.

I just don’t bring it up with some members of my family, because I know it’s pointless or actually it will be worse for me.

Re: not coping

Totally agree @Till23

I never say anything back to them. Just adding fuel to the fire. I won't change their ways/thinking so don't put any of my energy into responding to them.

Sometimes it's just not worth it.

Re: not coping

Hi dear @outlander

Just checking in on you 💕💕

Re: not coping

@tyme
just coming over here.
it is abit of the nature of support work but it also isnt. usually when SW loose a client its because theyve been moved to another client, theres been a complaint or the support worker has burnt out.
that isnt the case. theyve just simply replaced me and taken the clients i had.
ive already changed companies 3 times in one year, this is now the 4th and working with another so i dont want to change again.
i wasnt gone for that long. only a week and a half. i even went back to work early so it isnt really a long time to be away.

Re: not coping
