Hi @Paperdaisy
How are you?
i don’t really know what to say anymore. Things just keep repeating in my head. I’d just wish I could shut that brain off.

What a sad sad day today.
Thinking of everyone who is affected by the conflict between the Ukraine and Russia.

Hello everyone
i feel great awful. I’m so grateful I live in a safe country, so sad that others (most) don’t and tired of the intrusive memories and flashbacks. Fighting the helpless and hopelessness. I can’t say that things will just get better, go away without scars … tragedy doesn’t let anyone walk on without scars, deep scars that can never be healed. Once the basic need of safety is breached you can never get it back.

I'm sorry to hear of the struggles you have been through @petrichor and the scars you have sustained as a result. Something I've learnt about scars though is that they, and the difficult experiences they came from, can shape us and make us the people we are. I'd like to take a moment though, to both acknowledge and honour the pain that comes from those experiences and the healing process. I hear you're feeling that right now, and that is totally ok. If what you're feeling starts to become too distressing though, I'd like to encourage you to reach out for extra support from somewhere like Blue Knot Foundation or there is also SANE's HelpCentre and Peer Support services available if you'd like to speak with a counsellor or peer support worker 1:1 non-urgently. Take Care Petrichor,
TideisTurning 🌹

❤️ Thank you @TideisTurning
Life will never be the same for anyone experiencing war. I feel what I feel about my past but I feel for the people experiencing it right now and I don’t know what to say or do to make their pain better. I know we can stand with them, donate… but war changes everything.
