Re: I can’t cope

Ugh what a pain in the behind @Captain24 I'm sorry you've had to deal with that! Hope your house is soon back to feeling like your home, all safe and untouched.

Re: I can’t cope

Who messed up your home @Captain24 ? Did you have housesitters in during your admission? I'm so sorry you came home to a mess.

Re: I can’t cope

Yes @Eve7 I had a pet sitter for 2 weeks and then mum took them for the last week. She made an absolute mess in that time. No wonder her mums house looks so bad. I should’ve know better but I had no one else at short notice.

Im hoping when I go in next that one of the two recommended can do it. If I can sort out work it’ll be around 6 months.

How is retirement treating you?

Re: I can’t cope

Good morning @Captain24

Hoping today goes well for you hon.

Sending lots of love 💗💗

Re: I can’t cope

I feel like I’m going backwards 😢

Re: I can’t cope

Why do you say that @Captain24

Re: I can’t cope

I’m so tired @Snowie. All I want to do is sleep. I feel really flat and I have no motivation. It’s like I’ve got the blues. I don’t know how else to describe it.

Re: I can’t cope

It's like a roller coaster @Captain24 We will have those times where we just want to sleep.

I've had a few days where I've just stayed in bed or on the couch in the last few weeks. No motivation to do anything.

Has something happened that is making you feel this way? Could of it had been the visit from your parents? I know that knocked you around a bit.

I know my parents shook me a little @Snowie. But I was feeling it before. I had intrusive thoughts last night. I just had to push them away. I’m so disappointed in myself and that’s not helping. Maybe as I settle back into home life things might improve.

I have to go through all my paperwork from groups but that is to overwhelming. There is a lot of it! Maybe after I’ve completed a block of work I can look at it.

Im having snuggles though. But I need a bigger lap

Re: I can’t cope

There is no need to be disappointed in yourself @Captain24 Just think of everything you have achieved.

I think we need to give ourselves a little leeway. Give ourselves room to have these feelings and thoughts. It doesn't mean that things are going back to what they were, it just means that we are 'human'. It is unrealistic to think that everything will be wonderful every moment of every day.

Remember our own worst critic is ourselves. Others probably just see it as the norm, but we see it much worse. If you told the nurses in the clinic what you are thinking, what do you think they would say?

I haven't even started on the paperwork I have got. Haven't started going through what art work I want to keep. It can all wait. There is no time limit on it.

That is a cute photo! Snuggles sound good to me. I only have one and she takes up enough space. I can only imagine having two trying to sit on my lap!!

When does he get his cone of his head?
