Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Not quite laugh.
woul like to throw computer out of the window on some days..
yes I need fun ..
Am hoping @Flax @will come up with something refreshing.
Anyone wanting to maintain same character can of course just different adventure at the bottom of the secret garden.
perhaps if concert all too hard we can skip straight to the feast. Feasts are renowned for having wandering minstrels.. masked character.. still room for those who have been practising singing.. drumming. ..
the world is our oyster. The secret is spontaneity and fun.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Hi @Sophia1 Thanks so much.
Here is an Update (copied) - I'm very short on words, a the moment:
These Census Job people have kept me hanging in the air (for many weeks) - Supplying no details whatsoever of the Training Dates, where, how, or for how long etc.
Contract starts on Monday.
Yet I was still being treated like a Mushroom - "Kept in the Dark & fed with...."
After several Phone call this afternoon, "No we cannot help you, try a different phone number", etc.
Finally Someone told me - "The Training Module will Magically Pop up on their Site on Monday" - So I must Complete that Training Module Online.
Then Only After I've Completed that Training Module Online - Will a Manager phone, to give me some Face To Face Training.
How was I supposed to know all this, without any communications from them?
The ABS/ Adecco email 4 weeks ago said - "We will email you the Training Dates & info".
Which they Never Did....
Well at least this Information was some Slight Progress.
I Credit my Disability Service Provider with that - She insisted that I phoned them this afternoon, to find out. Whilst she provided some "Motivational Support" (she said), by her being there next to me.

Oh wow how much does she get paid for that. Apply for a job there. You will beat them all hands down.
all jokes aside it is a government job outsourced hence further zero communication between two entities. @Adge

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Sorry for all the confusion but my inner child still wants to play here. I was here at the start of this thread and don't want to leave. I hope that I am still welcome.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Dear friends....omg
So sorry, it seems my last post has caused something of an issue...I've been away, and couldn't figure out what was happening in the thread long term. It seemed to have lost its plot, and really only 2 people were regularly contributing: @Sophia1 and @Oaktree. Then I bungled my way in.
Perhaps this can be reset moment. The virtual post and fantasy/fictional characters is simply brilliant for people to get out of the humdrum of MI and the seriousness of MH problems. I will confess, I sometimes find the SANE forums very distressing/depressing. So the virtual post of something fantasy is a welcome relief.
We all have real lives, real problems and just 2 or 3 people holding a thread together is too much to ask. I'm reminded of something @HenryX said some weeks ago...something along the lines of writing creative things when your an introvert, lacking confidence or shy is daunting even in an anonymous forum. Its worse when you have little imagination - like me, which is why I use concrete things from mythology or from my life experiences. To be frank, I was scared witless just saying hello when I first joined this discussion thread - everyone seemed so creative, and I was clueless about Winnie the Pooh (and most other childhood stories).
The posts in this thread still amaze me. You guys are just so creative, but its a small market - Pooh and his world is small and fixed for most of us non-imaginative kinds. Its easy to criticise, and I don't have an answer.
Personally, I'd just let it flow. Rather than fix it in the land of Winnie the Pooh, just open it out. I note @Sophia1 's comments that the thread was originally created by a Winnie fan - but there are only 8 main characters, and most are no longer participating. Yet anyone checking the thread would be scared off because all the main characters are taken, even though some have quit.
I'll just throw this out there....I love the idea of the secret garden and a magical land, then let people create their own fantasy identities that can meld into whatever the storyline is. It also means they can come and go as they feel like it, and no need to track who is who. I tried to keep a database of who was what in Pooh's story - too hard and I don't have an eidetic memory.
No idea whether this would work, but even if not, I still like the idea of virtual posts - so maybe you guys will get some random Sooty adventures just because Sooty likes to be naughty and share his adventures. I will have to tell you sometime about when Sooty visited Stonehenge, then there is that story about Sooty visiting Bunnings...
I think this is about 2 weeks worth of Flax creativity in one post.
Will leave you with how I feel now:
Hasta la vista

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post
Dear @Sophia1
i am sorry that I overreacted and made matters worse.
@Flax good idea of keeping the secret garden and coming up with new characters, not sure what I want to be. Lucky for you you still have Sooty to fall back on as well as the many other characters that I am sure are in your head.
Don't worry the angst wasn't your fault m. I was having a meltdown in real life.

Dear @Oaktree
TY for letting me know your having a bad day/nite.
Was a bit worried that I had offended you..or something. Got a bit confused.
So all good and thank you for saying Sooty is ok. Appreciate it - he can be a handful.
You take care, and have a think about who you'd like to to be in our little ongoing story/saga of the virtual post.
Kind thoughts coming your way:
🌷🌼🌹
