Thanks @CheerBear ....
Have a go ? Doesn’t have to be a little town. It could be a bunch of flowers or a tree or a bird with colourful feathers, or something ......
@Zoe7 @Teej @outlander @Appleblossom @Sans911 @Snowie .... whoever else wants to give it a try .....

Dear @Faith-and-Hope I love YOUR pictures and that you showed some of the process.
Piet is a Dutchy who I did research when I originally made use of the net to catch up on that part of my heritage. I like his originality and working through classic and modernist styles.
I do not believe in favourites, or picking one just for the sake of it. I am far more interested in human culture and behaviour in general to buy into that approach on anything, especially in art.
Yesterday I had a dream where I was painting and it looked good. ha ha
I am taking it as being reconnected with my visual and general creativity and not a call to leap into artwork, just be relaxed and open about it.
Today I woke from a dream with my arms and hands held rigidly behind my head. They are aching and it took a while to unfold myself. I have difficulty with that kind of postural tensing for last 10 years. I guess it is deep in my unconscious if I maintain uncomfortable positions in my sleep.
Lovely to see this thread stay alive.

Love the little town painting @Faith-and-Hope - especially love the range of colour you have achieved in it - it is very uplifting
Working with a background done in that way would be great as a basis for a zentangles inspired animal theme too. The mind boggles at what you could do
Hi @Appleblossom Nice to see you here too
Creation of art can be done in so many forms and so many ways and often merely the thinking of being creative can unlock that dorment part of our brain and lead to further/higher levels of thinking ...and that is good for body and soul.

My mind is flooding with Ideas to use this approach with @Zoe7. Even using an underpainting of fragmented muted colours could be worked into images of feathers, or shells, or pebbles ..... I’m thinking rockpools too ..... might give that a go ..... 😊

Would love to see it done with rockpools @Faith-and-Hope Please give that a go and see how it turns out Hon

Haven’t got to rock pools yet @Zoe7 ..... but I have got rain puddles ..... raining here the last few days.
Borrowed heavily from here ..... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iU5Dg5meASw ....
I am copying to learn ..... using whatever I have, mostly acrylic paints, and drawing instead of stamping (or substituting whatever stamps I have).
