Here a slice for y'all (think of American accent here). It's kind of like a custard tart in that it's sweet and spicey.

Pumpkin Pie ... from one of my gay uncles
Custard
4 eggs 4 cups drained mashed pumpkin 1/4 or less cup of sugar .... 1 tin evap milk
125 ml milk or water 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ginger 1 tsp allspice
Beat eggs and pumpkin, sugar and spices.
Add milk and stir til smooth
Pie Crust (Lard)
125g lard 1 cup pl flour 1/2 cup SR flour 1 egg 2 tsp lemon juice
mix together and roll
Sometimes I just use puff pastry
Bake 400' F about 45 mins until inserted kn ife comes out clean
makes 2 medium pies or a large one plus custard

Hmmm @Jacques I've not seen any pumpkin pies here in Oz. But @Appleblossom has just shared a recipe! I'm going to make it tomorrow night. Thanks @Appleblossom!
Would you @Jacques, or any others on here be interested in giving the recipe a whirl? Would love to know what you think of it. I'll get back to you all with how mine goes tomorrow.
