[with thanks to The Goon Show episode Napoleon's Piano for inspiring that]

Our little farm and house in Denmark was fondly named by us as Heimatlie... little home...
My dad says (once more semi-phonetically) - dancke fill-mahl to say thank you...
Then there's an unusual dialect... dang-khre-gish - with tha "hggrrrrhhhh" sound again... hahaha...
Huge hugs @Former-Member 🙂

I haven't been in the beer garden for a few days and it's suddenly taken on a european vibe. I like it! It's so cold in Victoria at the moment that a mulled wine would hit the spot nicely. Barkeep?
@Silenus in a belated response to your question, you are very welcome to post about your childhood town. The anonymity requirement simply means not posting information that is identifying. Places from our childhood are very unlikely to do that

I'll have a bloody mary thanks with a good dash of worcester, not too much tabasco and a celery stick in it. My cold remedy for the night! Cheers @NikNik 🙂

@NikNik, we have a robot bartender tonight. He's a good bloke with an encyclopedic knowledge of drinks and a special chip that lets him join in the merriment with us. Doesn't say much though. Mr robot bartender, I'll have some of your finest port!
