Nup, I am not reading through 56-57 pages of posts..(not now)...I will save this thread for a rainy night of insomnia.<vbg> ..however for those who find this time of year filled with triggers, here's a little something I swiped from BTS (Behind The Seen). Adapt to reflect one's personal circumstances inserting appropriate pronouns.
I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting but it is difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with a legal adviser yesterday, and on advice I wish to say the following :
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress , non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the summer solstice holiday practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and / or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all .
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2022, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our Commonwealth great ( not to imply that Australia is necessarily greater than any other country which it is) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee .
By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms :
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her / him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.
The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher .
Best Regards ( without prejudice )

Enjoy a Wishee-Wisher Wonder World &
a grace-filled Gravy Day.

@StuF, Thank you for your reply and greetings. I hope that the Christmas / New Year will be very pleasant for you
@Jo-anneJoy, Quite understand. Thank you for your reply. Truly, not really anticipating that anyone would read through the whole lot of the thread. Really enjoyed reading your adopted version of the "politically correct" greetings for this holiday season and the year ahead.
Likewise, Best wishes for a very pleasant Christmas / New Year period, in whatever form it takes for you.
@AussieRecharger, Thanks for your reply and the greetings carried with it. I was trying to work out, the other day, about the "drive" and I think you might have been referring to getting the motorbike out and going for a "spin" {hopefully not in the literal sense}. But the answer is "No, not yet". However, I am trying to get my mind into gear for that to happen {pun intended}. I think in terms of what you said in your reply, I at times question whether I should enjoy the good things and the exhilaration. I have a discussion with the counsellor on Thursday which may assist in "breaking the bonds of negativity." I actually feel as though I am separating my past from my present. It's a good feeling, that comes in "flashes", which I am endeavouring to stretch out further each time they occur.

Thanks @HenryX for inviting me to this thread. I haven't been very active on here at all lately so it's nice to still feel included.
The primary reason I've been less active is because I've spent a lot of the past two years working on my own mental health. I was hospitalised at the end of 2019 and was signed up to an outpatient DBT program to start a few months later...and then the pandemic happened. It shifted everything from "hard mode" to "God mode" difficulty. That said, I have received a tremendous amount of support and due to that and my own efforts have made it to a place where I feel I can (on good days) accept myself. Until a few years ago, I was a person in strong denial of their own emotional sensitivity.
On a lighter note, I have done some flight training too I briefly wanted to be a pilot at the end of high school but the ADF ultimately determined that I wasn't interested enough to stick with it. It was an accurate assessment.

Hilarious @Jo-anneJoy
Sadly it is too frequently the style of talk these days ....Hedging one's bets.
Hey @Former-Member @Owlunar @AussieRecharger
@Lise07 I think I am a person in strong denial of my emotional sensitivity too. Mostly I have skated over the reality of my feelings to just survive.
Do you mind if I borrow that phrase.
Love being oincluded on your thread.
I send out best wishes for all for the silly season ...
I am getting for the first time ... couple hours extra support NDIS to get me through this period, which is super vulnerable for me for a few reasons. ... but for now ....
Chrissy wishes ...

Thanks @HenryX
I hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year as well.
I do have a bit of a read around on the forums, but don't often say much. Too many things going on here.
I appreciate that you include me.
Christmas time can be a very triggering time for alot of people. (Me included). I'm trying my best to be positive this year.
My dad passed away at Christmas time, plus a dysfunctional family etc etc etc........
But I'm determined to try and not think about negative things.
Hi to everyone else around. Hoping you're all coping ok.
🥰

Greetings to members who have been active in the "Hangar" and those with whom I have corresponded in the forum, and other visitors to this thread.
Thank You all for your participation and activity, with others and me, in the "Hangar" and in various other threads on the forum.
I do hope that we each have events that are specially pleasant for us during this time of sigificance, in its various forms, for each of us.
I have enjoyed the correspondence, interactions and communications with members, since I rejoined the forum in Feruary 2021. As well as the enjoyment that I have experienced, I have also learned a lot. I have valued and enjoyed the mutual and reciprocal support and guidance that has been shared. These have been in both personal situations and service activity as a Community Guide. That support has come in various forms; exchange of ideas, encouragement, suggestions and recommendations, and an ocassional nudge, when it was appropriate or considered to have been necessary. All of which I have appreciated.
For now, my wish is for as smooth a transition between 2021 and 2022 as possible and pleasant experiences and some good surprises for all of us.
