@MDT Hams that is great! i am glad you are at peace with the world. i know exactly what you mean about your wins yesterday with the low cost veggies it is the little wins that give us often the most enjoyment. i bought a scarf the other day which was a quarter of its original price and with the extra discount i had in the store it cost me nothing! made my day :D. enjoy your coffee.xx

Thank you for your fulsome praise, @Former-Member. I only have my own judgement to rely on usually. It really is a sweet pattern. Not me with the sewing machine. I used to make many of my children's (and my) clothes when they were little, but that was long ago. I haven't even had a machine for decades although I'm thinking of getting one. I don't have the same patience I used to have though.

I really did laugh out loud at your humour, @tonys. Shaving was a nice gesture. Thank you. And thank you for your kind thoughts. Same back to you, though less eloquently.
Have a good day.
P.S. Just got a note from Amazon...'Dear Sir'. Also referred to the 'massage'/message. Oh well.

Yes your knitting is really good @Historylover you should be proud of your efforts. I bet your sewing was great too. I used to sew most of my clothes at uni. I have done sewing since but the price of fabrics was a bit prohibitive. Darn Cheap Fabrics has end of reel offcuts which are more affordable. I also used to do Bargain Box which is great for cheap fabrics. I also know Melbourne is a bit of a fabrics hub and there are always people needing to liquidate their reels of fabric. They set up shops without a shingle and just push through reels of material. No patterns or haberdashery in the shop itself just reels of fabric they want to get rid of

My ex-psy took me away from sewing and he was right @Former-Member. He thought I should immerse myself in books which I did, but at the moment I had been enjoying being crafty for a change. I won't get a machine as I haven't missed one in 30 years. A stitch in time... and all that. Besides, I expect I'd soon tire of it like my keyboard. I just don't know what I will do to occupy my time next. Back to books perhaps or...
