Re: Good Morning!

Ooops @Jynx i thought that may be the case but didn't quite know. I had the lady modelling the dresses she made for the sanctuary plus this quote, have now cut out her photo. I hope you liked their website I sent @tyme and mods in the e-mails. Its a shame it can't be shared here.

Re: Good Morning!

Just baked some bread today. Went to the chemist to pick up some essentials and came home again. Last night cut my thumb on the rotary a food processor. Lots of blood surprisingly came out. Applied fabric bandaid with pressure it seemed to hold it together and went to a pop-up clinic just in case I needed stitches. The government has set up these pop-up clinics to steer people away from hospitals because of the burden of covid. I got seen really quickly. It wasn't deep enough for stitches but the blood would not stop. Had stitches on my foot a while back so no drama. Got some sterristrips to hold together the wound so see how I go

Re: Good Morning!

Thanks @Meowmy just a bit of an inconvenience getting out at night to unfamiliar places in a taxi. Haven't caught the bus out that way in years since the route changed. Seems like lots of new infrastructure/buildings have gone up so the streetscape is a lot different to what I used to know.  It was possibly a good thing taking taxi.

@Former-Member  Blender blades are very dangerous. Avoid those swords.

Re: Good Morning!

hello  @Former-Member .   What a lovely letter ..   and you went to so much trouble.   I immersed in the story because I met so many people of depth and colour when I threw the map out the window and wrote on the back of my camper "no plans a good plan" .        God I love your words,

"Let providence take me"  Just let me sleep in that a moment..         I will ask my tec fellow to try and track the story down from your pictures when he comes to see me Friday.

And that is what it takes.. Hey Smiling Gecko   When all is lost,   and all else fails,  abandon caution,   and stop looking for parachutes.    I survived...    anyone   can.

Weather thats true or not,  we have to dream,  and believe the dreams.  What else is there.

I seem to remember something about your travels somewhere.  Hope you can remind me one day.

I was wondering a few weeks back what your teachers must have made of you.  I've a feeling every assignment would have been a thesis,   and thats just primary school.  You have a way of expanding peoples views about  the state of play,   Things we hope will go away,  but won't unless we  shine our thoughts on them..    Deep thinkers.  Philosophers.   There wars are fought with pencils .   Unless we relinquish the reigns to them,   I  fear for the rest of us.

Well.   How did your day pass.  Don't tell anyone but I always felt the the sun should slowly evanesce beneath a lava red sea..

What strange world do you go to as  its fires fade from view.

Hope The stars are kind to you..                     tonys.

@Blackbird11  😲 Look what you made!

Be proud of yourself. I cannot do these things.

Re: Good Morning!

@tonys my lecturers and tutors at uni did not approve of my value system. You had to absorb the culture and hegemonic system to pass. It was at odds with who I was. Looking back at it I was proud of myself as the system I saw was rogue. Had someone who I knew graduate before me got dux in the university and went on to Arthur Andersen or Deloittes or some big accounting firm. I've seen inside those places. Was invited to a graduates information session and found that out for myself. So no I wasn't a great thesis writer in any stretch of the imagination. That part of my life is now a world away. Have known folk who bought into the system thinking they were doing the right thing only to break ranks later on to realise how bad it all actually was and how complicit they were in those situations.  Theres life after all that but it involves deconstructing everything you once knew.
