Re: Good Morning!
OK.. found it in budgeting thread. Let me tell you, if I ran a business it would be that disorganised they would probly call it Optus..
So , where am I moving too , you ask. Well, I have an old house on the Mid North Coast, that my cousin has been living in for years. Near beach and things I'm going to need a bit more. She's been holding the roof up and holding a hose. We had a beef over bedrooms, she won, So I'm downstairs. Couple of acres so my chooks come with me and the hound, but my pet pigs, well lets just say my significant others have broken my heart and found new homes. All for the best. Its on a river too so thats a plus. My faithful horse. that joined a union and didn't budge since the day I bought him. Still figuring it out. And thats all I know for now, till they release my sorry ass back into general population.
Where abouts is world headquarters for you @Glisten .. Must be between a Bunnings and plantation hardwoods ? Can you sell your art work from home..?
Well my good friend. Rn gave me a "dont bother me" dose of something before I started writing to you and the "waves" are in the mail so I best be of to marsh mellow heaven.
Will look out for you tomorrow Glisten. Hope you have a 5 leaf clover week end.. tonys

Re: Good Morning!
@tonys What are you doing awake at … 3am your time?
I got a Bachelor of Arts in History Geography and Minors in Philosophy and Religion. Did some Archaeology in Turkey and here in WA.
My extended family is musical. I’m not my children aren’t. But my mother, uncle, grandmother and grandchildren are very musically gifted.
I don’t know where I get the woodworking skills from. My dad, grandfather and uncle were all Fitter & Turners - metal workers.
I’ve only just started wood turning on a lathe.
Woodwork brings me peace. I’ve got ADHD, but I think my family from my mother’s side, is on the spectrum. Very sensitive to smells and texture 🤷🏼♀️

Re: Good Morning!
I am happy that you have your place up north plus someone who is supportive @tonys. Your cousin sounds like a bit of a lark. Sorry to hear youre feeling down about being discharged. Post operative things can really sensitize people. You kind of need to be surrounded by a controlled environment with people you are close to. Sounds like you have that sorted out.
I understand your feelings about animals. I used to have a border collie x and had to have him put down 10 years ago and have been without a dog ever since. He was a great little dude with a big personality. He won hearts at the vets. It was so heartbreaking. But yes you got the rest of your animals, at least thats something but it must be hard to relinquish them, I don't think I could part with animals easily after a strong bond has been established.
BTW I follow a couple that have an animal sanctuary that rescue animals in the outback. They rely on peoples donations to run their charitable organisation. Its a unique endeavour the story goes the founder wound up in India as a young woman and her money and cards were stolen so she relied on the kindness of strangers for a long time to get through and survive. She had no other choice. Miraculously her needs were met.
She learned to trust providence and this carried through to her work on the sanctuary with camels, horses, parrots, dogs and many other animal waifs and strays. The lady makes beautiful alternative designer wear that she used to sell at markets when she was younger and she has used that skill now to make clothes to raise funds to feed and take care of animals. She has also written books on her journey with rescued animals.
Its a mobile sanctuary they are a bit nomadic and onlookers who know their story are a bit stunned by the way they live. Its not for the faint of heart. They have been written about in magazines featuring a camel drawn cart with all their animals in tow treking across the desert.
I don't know what they are going to do with all this rising inflation but I reckon both her and her partner will find a way somehow. People are forever donating hay and buying beautiful clothes that she hand dyes and sews herself. They are very humble people. I wish I could supply a link but don't think mods will let me. It its a captivating story but incredible to say the least. I don't know they do it but everything arrives in a nick of time! @moderator am I allowed to provide a link or you tube video of these people. I live nowhere near them. I can't be identified. Don't know if its allowed

Re: Good Morning!
@tonys I don't think moderators have accepted the link for the animal sanctuary I mentioned in my last post but I've done screenshots of these people and what they do minus website links
Camel drawn cart and a makeshift bathtub
More camels
