Re: Good Morning

Hello @MDT. You've been a busy person today! Hows your self compassion going?  I had to do that for myself, it allows for kinder self talk and being more flexible with yourself.  I learned being stern does nothing for you. You have to treat yourself with kindness ❤️ After doing self compassion I never realised how stern I was. The inner dialogue wasn't good. I have heard of people healing themselves just by changing inner self talk.

Today I have been doing my budget. Have decided to buy produce direct from a farm instead. I save about $10+ a week this way. I intend to buy my supermarket grocery once a month in a bulk purchase and be entitled to an Everyday Rewards Extra of 10% off per month so that is $50 a month savings. So saving roughly $100 a month in total. I think utilities is going up by 30% where I am in Melbourne so will have to increase my fortnightly payment through Centrepay which gets deducted with my disability pension. Its how I met my bill obligations using Centrepay. Once its paid the money is gone. I never have overdue bills!

I hope you are travelling well! I had a post done but I lost it unfortunately so this will be a short post to let you know that I’m going along okay despite being in a depressive period at the present time. I’m taking things day by day and trying to achieve small things that I deem to be important to me like knitting and crocheting blankets for charity. I also managed to look at some coursework this afternoon and try to pick up some information that my educational provider teacher failed to teach me on certain topics relating to mental health recovery and different types of mental health treatments.

Take care!

@Judi9877

Firstly thanks for keeping us updated with how you are going.

I just want to congratulate you on how much strength you are showing through all of this. To continue to achieve things each day is simply remarkable.

You certainly are someone that we can look up to. 🤗🤗

Re: Good Morning

Keep being you @Judi9877  🙂

I hope the depressive period subsides sooner than later

Re: Good Morning

nice one @Former-Member

Yeah part of my better inner self talk has helped 100% I'm also watching good content aimed at men in the late 20s. I find this is helpful. there is a great deal of bad messaging out there in the world towards young men

I have started to implement stricter budget stuff - i reduced my phone bill by 50% with a better carrier

I don't buy food out anymore. Hate it anyway. Too much to pay. Coffee - i have limited anyway as a mental health protection so I haven't been spending anywhere as much on it. This week I was proud of myself for not spending money on food actually. It's hard not to.

I plan on buying groceries and cooking them up.

I passed probation at work too so that's good news on my end
