Re: Good Morning

Good afternoon @Former-Member I've had my nose in some aromatherapy books today.  I had to do something about hair fall as I've been neglecting myself somewhat. I've been a bit slack oiling my hair but found a recipe using rosemary essential oil, castor oil and coconut oil to stimulate and strengthen the hair follicles.  I used to oil my hair several years back but didn't do it for a long time because I did not put any effort in. I have reference books on aromatherapy and had to use up my essential oils plus an old bottle of coconut oil and a sachet of castor oil.  I also discovered a remedy for over active bladder using Cyprus essential oil. It softens the nerves in the bladder and stops the contractions so you don't pee at night. I had some Cyprus in the fridge and will use it tonight! I am curious to see how it works so I can get uninterrupted sleep.  I hope you've had a good day.  I have not walked today.  Will get out there tomorrow! 🙂

Re: Good Morning

Hello and good morning to @MDT @StuF @Judi9877 @Eve7 @TAB Had an early start to the day.  Put on a warm clothing and went for a brisk walk this morning at 7am.  Was gone for 20 minutes.  Saw some cockatoos on my walk. It was really quiet apart from the bakery up the street.  They do a roaring trade. I noticed they started their business under a grand water trine in astrology which bodes well for financial success. They produce lots of beautiful bakery foods as well as cuppacino and milkshakes. They also have a sandwich bar with fresh crunchy sandwiches.  Its nice to see that in this neck of the woods but their business thrived during lockdown and is still going.  There are usually lots of people in there that queue to buy things.  Its nice to see they have done well.  Its a lovely little business for this area.  If you are up earlier you can smell the baked goods up and down the main street!

I’ve got a relaxing day ahead planned with me trying to get a baby jumper knitted that’s now been on the go for over a week- motivation issue with it, unfortunately! I’ve got a knitting group meeting tomorrow so I’m going to try and get it finished for the group so lots of motivation to do this. I’ve also been struggling again slightly with my MH but I’ve just upped a tablet so hopefully things improve for me, especially in regards to sleep. I’ve got to contact the health service in regards to my case manager issue as well since the manager called and left me a message yesterday so that will be done on either Monday or Tuesday. Add to my sinusitis issues and I’m travelling okay!

Take care!

Judi9877☺️💐

Re: Good Morning

Hello @Judi9877 I've just been researching how to make your own moisturiser out of beef tallow. Last year it was brought to my attention via a nutritionist who recommended it as it was a clean product with no chemicals added and was also great for anxiety and PTSD.  Its very calming to the nervous system to allow the skin to absorb tallow, its very similar to abhyanga which is a self oiling practice in ayurveda. The only problem was that tallow moisturiser cost too much.

I decided today to research how to make tallow out of throw away beef brisket at the butchers which is practically worthless as it just normally gets tossed out. You just put brisket in a pot with nothing added over a low heat for several hours and alow the fat to be released, cool slightly & then put through a sieve into a bowl. Add coconut oil or olive oil and some essential oils. Allow it to set in the fridge then fluff it up with a mixer before using a spatula to put in jars. It does not smell there is no odor apart from essential oils. It has Vitamins and Omega 3-6-9's and no chemicals in it that you can't spell! It was the first moisturiser that generations before used to use. Anyway it will keep me busy.
