@DownMoreThanUp Yes, I have 3 premature deaths in my immediate family, partly due to system error. I do wish the current practitioners had more insight into the harms caused, and a little less social status and complacency. Its time to flip the script. Shall we say many are emotionally numbed with respect to the harms caused. Possibly even dissociated? Hmmm. Where does the pathology lie? Where is the paycheck? Are services paid for actually delivered, or is it just a veneer of business and the next nonsense referral? How are the medical hospital managers doing? The EDs are not fit for purpose, but they like the business. Have I been too even handed and fair minded? To be honestly trauma informed, requires commitment to the client to walk the journey to recovery, not adding co-morbidities, and failing to reflect on the lack or rapport developed, as in doing a bad job, but still getting paid for it, and not even getting a rap on the knuckles. Its ridiculous, I am turning into a crap rap artist, my prose is getting so compressed and I keep coming up with rhymes without trying. Trying to lighten things but still get message across.
I was not lazy, but diligent in many fields of paid and unpaid work. However, yes I was traumatised as a small child, even as I understated it and always knew very well many others were suffering, usually worse than I. No, I am just not that bad to have caused it all. Anyone with basic developmental understanding would understand and know that. It was just my socioeconomic reality. There is incompetence and corruption around us, sadly. Some people are getting rich.
I need to stop looking through rose coloured glasses. I will try and respond to your email @tyme but I am also very weary of the run around. Its to be expected for myself, I am used to it, a good little orphan Annie, but when I witness it for others. It is not good.
There are some people who advocate for reform, but there are also people who believe the system is so rotten, they are now calling themselves abolitionists, after stepping down from some NFP and govt. boards. Quite a few great Lived Experience people are stepping away from boards as they dont want to collude and be used as window dressing. eg Mary O Hagan.

@Appleblossom Your story is heart wrenching Appleblossom. i pray some kind of change can be brought around simply praying to Jesus about it. i certainly have more faith in Him hearing my plea for good to come our way than i have faith the world around me.
Both our contemporary society, as well as Jesus, have proven records in our lives together.
Give me Jesus any day THANKS!😍

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @AlwaysMyself , @REDLINEZ750 , @MissGremlin ,
John 13
- Jesus knows He is about to depart from this world.
- "Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into His hands, that He had come from God, and He was going back to God."
- So Jesus washes the disciples' feet.
- "If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet."
- Jesus identifies Judas Iscariot as the one who will betray Him.
- Jesus: "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him."
- Jesus: "Children, I am with you a little while longer ... I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another."
- Simon Peter: Where are you going?
- Jesus: Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you will follow later.
- Jesus predicts Peter will deny Him three times before the rooster crows.
Jesus asks us to follow His example and be a servant to other people. Not easy. Also it is in Jesus' suffering that He glorifies God.

Thank you @tyme
There are 4 premature deaths in my immediate family. Only 3 were due to direct engagement with 'the MH system', though they are probably all related, in a causal manner as well as purely familial. That is why I would like some recognition of Forgotten Australians by Sane. I have never wanted to be too clinical in my mannerisms, but felt I had to do so a little to keep to being factual, as generalisations people often make, tend to conflate too many issues in my lived experience. The 4th premature death, my youngest brother, was probably due to poor dietary habits from his foster family since he was 6 months. That brother had the most contact with my son and died just before my son's so called symptoms made an extreme impact on his and therefore my life. To me, that episode was understandable as partly a grief response and reaching into the ether. Long story not for posting. Part of the reason I use the word 'probably' a lot is a discipline not to overgeneralise too much. My stories are too complex for small posts, so I let out a little at a time. Certainties have been few. I haven't meant to come across as unfeeling or lacking in sensibilty or genuine passion.

@tyme hi darlingheart,
There was a particular incident that occurred and I felt that my concerns went unheard. Thank you for your support, I did as requested and put in some feedback but my concerns were largely ignored (I have yet to get a reply to my response to feedback) so I realise that I will not be able to seek support from the forums and will have to deal with certain things alone.
I am having lunch with mum, bro and bestie on Aus Day. Mum likes to do something to celebrate being Australian! I know we don't all agree with Australia Day and I have huge respect for that so I hope mentioning it doesn't trigger anyone. Please let me know if it has.
@Appleblossom @DownMoreThanUp @Realness @heartathome
I found out that my dad chose euthanasia and my sister knew. She didn't tell me or my brother and had I known I would have flown over to NSW to be with my dad. This is tough for me to forgive and while I can forgive my sister today, I know tomorrow may be a different story.
My life these past 3 years has been one negative after another and as a usually optimistic person it stung to hear my mother and brother tell me I am being negative at different times. Give me something to be optimistic about and I will stop!
Yes I am grateful to have food on the table and a roof over my head etc.
@DownMoreThanUp my dear sweet brother, yes, we who have sinned have no right to condemn others. Amen!
In a positive way, this ones' for you ❤️

@tyme I incorrectly referenced @DownMoreThanUp instead of you regarding forgiveness, DUH! Sorry about that!
70 times 7 my friend, 70 times 7!
When I asked God to help my forgive my ex friend He told me that I had to forgive her 70 times 7. Some days it's easy, some days not so much, as we all know.
I watch Good regularly and donate to them, as well as the local Christian station here in WA, Sonshine FM. I try to avoid mainstream TV as I don't like a lot of swearing and I can't abide anyone who says oh my G.. I'd rather hear the F word than that!
I also listen to Air1 which is an online radio station that plays only Christian content. Whenever I listen to Christian content I feel refreshed and lighter.
Having said that I also love true crime and watch all the crime channels available on Foxtel etc!!
I hope your weekend is going well and it's not too hot where you are. Your namesakes are coming along, I am going to get a couple more to pad them out though as the pots they are planted in are quite large. The lemon thyme smells soooo good!
Much love to you my sweet tymey 😍

@DownMoreThanUp My upbringing was a mixture of Methodist and Presbyterian and later Uniting Church. None of my experiences were as strict or fundamental(?) as yours, it was very loving and to me showed the true Jesus.
I had a Presbyterian friend who had a couple of differing viewpoints, like when we sin God looks away in sadness, if we ask for something God will give us the opposite (I prayed for patience, my friend said God would send me frustration).
I think God showed me that He is a loving and caring Father as my own earthly father was the opposite. When his love was conditional, God's was given freely and without conditions.
I rail at God and ask Him why He put me through hardships and He tells me that diamonds aren't made with gentle handling.
As children of God I believe we are diamonds - multi-faceted, beautiful despite the coal blackness of sin, bought at a high price and sparkling when we lift our faces to Him.

@heartathome I have strong political views but as the saying goes - you never discuss politics or religion. Except in this case we are encouraged to discuss religion which is awesome!
Someone else posted a comment regarding a political figure and I gave my opinion, which was deleted as it could be perceived as derogatory. In Sanes' defence they deleted the original political post as well.
I don't want to read about politics on Sane, whether it be something I agree with or not. After 30 years of being active in a political party I have retired and stepped away. In real life and online I don't want to hear about it!!
Perspectives are interesting, and that the 6 of you all had differing views is fascinating. I remember watching Law & Order SVU and the episode focused on that. Several people saw a crime take place and they each described the scene differently.
Another member has shown they dislike me and complained about me posting in what they decided was their thread exclusively. I complained back and was threatened with being banned. My posts were deleted from this persons' thread, as well as a different thread and I found this extremely upsetting. Again this is my perspective and not intended to upset, annoy or trigger.
On another note, I am looking forward to getting into my plants later. I prayed for motivation last night and the Lord, ever faithful, as answered my prayer. I've started tidying the pantry and next is the dining room. I can't wait to get rid of the clutter and I've finally come up with a solution to my storage issues. I have furniture and boxes of clothes/shoes/books etc stored in my carport and some of the plastic tubs are starting to disintegrate from the sun. I've found a way to make room in my shed so that I can put the stuff in there until I decide what to do with everything.
How's the weather where you are gorgeous? It's pleasant here aside from the humidity. Ick!
