Re: Christian Chat

@DownMoreThanUp ,

Come, Lord Jesus! Come!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Jesus came and changed days of earthly suffering to heavenly bliss!

Leviticus is a good book to deeply meditate on. God's instructions were so specific. The Spirit is all through them.

May it help you face the challenges you are facing. I hope you get more sleep. Take care.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @REDLINEZ750 ,

The book of John is such a Spirit book. The Spirit is so soothing to earthly suffering.

Re: Christian Chat

Keep your standards up! My track record with men leaves a lot to be desired! My requirements for a future husband were pretty low when I married my ex-husband! @Realness  I found myself in DV. Mind you, it was well hid!

@moderator - Do I need a trigger warning for the following statement?

TRIGGER   GROOMING

Content/trigger warning

Friendships with men have been impossible in the past because I was 'lovingly' sexualised at a young age. I don't even like saying the word lovingly but that's the way I was groomed. It just means I need to think with my head instead of my heart.

Do you ever get emotionally intoxicated by the feeling? When it's all you can think about?

I love how you can still say I love the Bible after your experience with the church! How do you feel about writing to your friend from the old church now? Are you glad you did it? It sounds like a win for you!

How long have you known your more recent friend for? I always think it's a good thing to be upfront, real and honest. I hope you hear back from him soon. I hate the wait, wondering what they're thinking. I always think the worst. :face_with_rolling_eyes: Thankfully the few friends I've got love me the way I am! 😀

I definitely prefer the American humour, but my favourite is the warped Aussie humour my dad left me with!

I'm glad you're having a good afternoon, and life is treating you well, my friend! 💚

Re: Christian Chat

Hey @heartathome if you'd like we could add a trigger warning to be safe, would you like me to pop one on for you?

Re: Christian Chat

PLEASE @Ru-bee I would appreciate it! 💚

Re: Christian Chat

@Appleblossom I hear you, feeling invisible. I have been feeling like this for a few weeks now but there are some really special people - specifically in this chat thread that make me remember that some people actually think I might be worth something.

Much love to you and welcome back xo

Re: Christian Chat

@DownMoreThanUp my dear dear brother. Thank you for tagging me. I haven't had the mental fortitude to interact of late, too many things are going against me both online and with my family. It's hard going and I am not doing very well.

I do still pray for you, as well as others on this thread especially @heartathome @Realness and @MissGremlin

Much love and prayers to you xoxo

Re: Christian Chat

Done @heartathome 🙂

@ENKELI I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a hard time at the moment, though I'm glad to hear that this thread has been a source of comfort for you, and I hope it can continue to be. Take good care 💜

Re: Christian Chat

Please do remember to give ALL bad life hurting to Jesus and ask for His ability to take it on the chin back in return. For i know that our Lord Jesus has awesome New Life laying ready for us when we come to the bottom of our hurting/bad life.

Hang in dear.

Darkness Reigning,

When voices hurting are really close,
then the darkness got us by the nose.
"Where is truth" they mockingly sneer,
casting nets spreading doubt and fear.
Isolation is their jail of presence within,
trading our weakness so we will not win.
See how they enjoy our every fall or slip,
as our fallen reality is their strongest grip.
Building in our mind their own life form,
so depressed deeply is our daily norm.
Now see them fight to retain their place,
trying to keep away any love or grace.
Only showing us their cruel hold inside,
and so us into their slimly pits to smite.
Where deeply influenced by their thrash,
Our light of day took an enormous crash.
Yet i remember wicked rule is a short reign,
As our light of day will surely shine again.

Psalm 1 is a series of beatitudes and woes very much like the beatitudes and woes of Jesus which make up the opening section of the sermon on the mount (Matt. 5:1ff; Luke 6:17ff). The blessed life is conceived by one simple but profound spiritual activity: That of meditating upon the 'Law' of ...
