@PeppyPatti was it confronting hearing those things from.your husband? I think it's really good that he is being opened and expressing what it is like for him. Are you ok though? Did you choose a Christmas gift for him to buy?
Yes I'm.hoping the trip goes well. 2.5hr with 2 kids, a dog, easily triggered husband that's learning emotional regulation and a dog.
This time of year is sensitive 🥺 because we used to spend Christmas day with my sister and her family. Due to the family estrangement we can't do that anymore. My way of coping with it was to travel on the 25th each year to be away from Sydney and I guess the memories. It also gives us 4 time away as a family. I love spending time with the kids and playing board games. They are usually very happy spending time in the pool. I hope to get some reading done! Have so many books to catch up on!
🥰🤗

Actually it's a big load off in that this is something I do - I'm coming to terms that I do it. I'm very relieved he knows this. I do do this.
I pull something out of the bag iv stored for. A Long time.
It's like I pray he will stuff up and not buy me presents so I can bring it up for the next million years.i would have held onto that one that no presents in my sock. Fortunately I commented on all the gifts he had in his sock compared to mine so he bought me two gifts today with more to come like a melting chocolate.
And I do this just after I see my Mother. It's like I go mad.

Dear @Healandlove
It sounds a good idea. Pool sounds wonderful. Yeah
It's very tough with family. I dunno. You can engage or you can be very happy that husband is beginning a new journey with emotions. The children!! Cool !!
How old are they again ?
They don't need family stuff.
They need to have fun in a pool !!

@rav3n thanks. I'm living minute by minute right now and that's all I can do. I'm exhausted and hurting and want to so badly just give up 😞

@Gremlin24 if minute by minute is all you can do, that's still a lot more than you think. i know it'll be hard to believe me when i say this but this pain you feel isn't permanent. it's temporary, it will pass.
one feeling won't stay forever, they keep changing, whether that's being sad or happy or mad, they don't all last. so take your time, feel your feelings, process it however you want.

@rav3n i know it's only temporary feeling like this but in this moment it feels like everything is coming crashing down around me and that there's no way out. My thoughts, feelings and emotions are consuming me and taking over.

take some deep breaths with me @Gremlin24 2 inhales, hold for 5 seconds and exhale everything. repeat as many times as you need.
it seems like so many things are running through your mind at once, and finding ways to slow it down, and focus on one thing at a time might help? have you done grounding exercises or guided meditations before?

@rav3n i feel like i really have tried everything possible. I do so many times to try to distract myself. Cleaning cooking, writing, crafts, colouring or drawing, reading a book, watching a movie, listening to music, going for a walk, having a shower, grounding techniques, breathing exercises, meditation.
