Re: having a bad morning

I hope the camping is healing and brings you closer to mother nature and yourself.  If your husband is unsupportive or unbelieving dont give up .. try and manage it with calling doc ... but let doc understand hub's resistance .. He may need a little education from professionals .. its just a hunch .. I am sure the family is a loving unit ... good luck.

I've not had a change to read were everyone is up to- r u still in hospital @BlueBay ?

Re: having a bad morning

Hi @BlueBay. Were you told that with any new meds, the system takes time to adjust. If it is a sleep enhancing med, try maybe staying up till you start feeling sleepy. Is there something you can do, like reading or watching t.v or listening to soft music to help relax you? You have been through an awful lot in the last 24 hours, I would say your mind is still trying to absorb everything you have endured. When you are agitated in the way you have been, the mind often refuses to 'switch off' and the more you try to force sleep, the more alert and restless you become. Perhaps 'sleep deprivation' is not a bad thing. You will sleep when your mind settles and you start relaxing. The relaxation or ability to 'switch off' becomes an emotional battle and the result is constant tossing and turning.

@BlueBay

Rest up as much as you can

Look after yourself

Hopefully you will be asleep soon if you can- I think you are an hour ahead of me because I am in Qld.

Thinking of you

We are all important, precious and worthy

Remember to always nurture the little girl inside- one of the best skills I have ever learnt !!

Re: having a bad morning

Hi everyone

Finally got to sleep and i am so drowsy this morning.  Not taking anymore otherwise my camping trip will be a daze.

I am about to start a new post - I'll write something in there.

Re: having a bad morning

@BlueBay. With your sleep enhancing med are you supposed to 'take them as required' or are they prescribed for daily use? If they are prescribed for daily use, persevere as your system will adjust accordingly. If they are just 'take as required', then, by all means only 'take as required'. Did you get any instructions re: their use? Yes, you will notice drowsiness, but drowsiness could mean complete calmness too. You have been under incredible emotional pressure. The calming effect of the meds will remove that anxiety. Please check the dosage, requirements, prescription advise before stopping them.
