@Dimity @Patchworks @ClockFace @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @tyme
Sorry to hear of some of your increased aches and pains recently. 💞
My back has been pretty good, I am so thankful to report. But I have hurt my shoulder. Tore my rotator cuff. Not a new injury for me. I have dodgy shoulders, and have badly torn shoulder rotator cuff tendons in both shoulders in the past. So its an ongoing issue for me. Always painful, from ongoing tendonitis. But when they tear, it really is very painful, and very restricting. Most annoying.
Thankfully I can take anti inflams, and they do help. Along with lots of ice and a sling for a few days. After that - heat packs. After nearly two weeks, its now on the mend and I have movement again 😄
Yes @Shaz51 I am aware of the anti inflam creams and their likely affects on kidneys. My hubby had CKD and only one kidney, so as his carer I had to be aware of those type of things. 😔 It meant no anti inflams of ANY type. Thank goodness for heat packs and ice. No restrictions on those. Hubby used to get a lot of back pain from an old injury, and other general aches and pains as a result of his Parkinsons.
@tyme I have heard that too about eggs. Makes sense, as the eggshells are porous. Just means you shouldnt be using anything poisonous or toxic anywhere near any foodstuff.

Hello @Patchworks @Emelia8 @Dimity @Shaz51 @tyme
Learning to look after myself and moderate the amount of activity I do that may cause pain, but still keeping active cos its the only way... otherwise I will turn into a fossil. Lots of icing my hands and wrists at the moment. Trying to counteract pain with building up strength. Hands are tricky. Back and neck pretty cricky. I was really worried I would not survive the long train trip. it was not easy but I did and the trip was worth it, even though there were a few hurdles.
Thats life!
Hang in there.
Hugs
Apple

Im having to reduce my pain meds cause they have diagnosed Hyperalgesia. Its a really painful process but there is a chance I might end up with a spinal cord stimulator if I can get through it.
My pharmacy screwed up with my Webster Pack and I ended up not having my pain killers, as well as my psych meds and blood pressure meds in the morning and afternoon. It really messed me up and took days to get everything back under control.

I'm sorry about your medication debacle @ClockFace that sounds awful! I hope you are going better now.
My scans came back with bursitis, so it's my hip playing up. Quite painful. One treatment is weight loss which I'm not too good at being on an antipsychotic, I want to eat a lot. I can't overdo the exercise either so I'm seeing an exercise physiologist for advice in a few weeks time.
Hope everyone else is going along well @Dimity @Appleblossom @Shaz51 @Emelia8

Sorry to hear about the hyperalgesia @ClockFace I hope your team can sort it for you.
@Patchworks it's good to know what you're dealing with but ouch. Yep I'm in the same boat re meds. I had diet and exercise coaching 18 months ago which helped but I need a review. I'm feeling exhausted atm but will try to persevere.
