So glad your progress has continued for several months @HenryX . I hope your wishes for improved family relationships and new projects are also realised, they're certainly good goals to work towards. Glad you can enjoy nature too... the wind and cloudscapes on your drive to the coast.

My new neighbour has cut down the mature mockorange, red rose and guava in the front garden. I'm ashamed of how depressed I feel. Loss of beauty, loss of agency, loss of control. I can't sleep. I feel worthless. My late mother spent a lifetime making gardens and music and I've failed. My former neighbours and I planted the grounds but now very little is left. It's only taken 18 months to raze the garden but that's the story of our suburb and its changing demographic.

If it makes you feel better @Former-Member go for it. I get some of my chores done in the evening. Hope you can then get to sleep.

Hello @Lumara and welcome to this thread. I want to declutter and downsize to make my space more livable and as contingency planning to lessen the burden on my family. I'm currently working through books and files. What are you hoping to tackle?

Thanks @TAB . I've been here for decades so had seen the garden grow. I also have a private backyard which I'll admit needs work.
Hope you're going OK in the WA heat and with work. I'm getting a/c quotes atm. We've got several hot days coming up.

It can be hard to keep up the watering @TAB . I've lost many plants and let the survivors take over. We're getting more and longer heatwaves which doesn't help.
