Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
It was a hard day but im being abit more productive. I ended up having a chat to HC, and then done abit of reading in the dbt workbook. I got through the mindfullness chapter with a few strategies but after reading the first 2 sections ( theres 3 in the book) it just got relentless so put it away. I just finished reading the link f&h shared with me the other day as well and took a few notes down.
Im sorry i wasnt here all that much last night, i was worried about you. How are you going? How was your day?

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
I just had a quick catch up on your other thread so I've seen that you're being quite proactive. That's really good to see @outlander
Do you have the DBT book at home? And which one do you have? If you can send me a photo of it I might get the same one and we can work on the modules together.
It doesn't bother me that weren't here last. I'm glad you fell asleep. Did you sleep much?
I saw my new pyschologist today. It was an OK session. We set two small goals. To stay alive hour by hour, and to find something that gives me pleasure each day, no matter how small.
I'm worried that I seem to be increasingly disconnecting from life. When I went to the family gathering on Sunday, it felt so ackward, because I didn't have anything to say really. And also feel disconnected in other ways. I'm starting to space out quite a lot, almost to the point of disassociating. It's happening mostly when I drive, which is concerning.
Then I saw my pdoc this afternoon. I told her it's taking me twice as long to fall asleep than before. So she's increasing one of my meds.
That's about all today. Feeling quite low, just want to sleep all the time.
Going to feed the cats as I'm being bitten by the big boy.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
I got abit of sleep but its never restful and tossed and turned alot.
I very much like those 2 goals esp the first one. Im more than happy to help in anyway that i can too im often up all hrs of the night so you wouldnt be keeping me awake either.
That is quite concerning esp with driving. Do you think maybe your a bit worn down from all the volunterring stuff? I know its something you enjoy but you do alot of it too.
Do you think trying to rekindle an old hobby or start a new one would be helpful at all? ( perhaps its abit of boredom esp with winter and the cold happening)
Have you tried magnesium at all? Suppose to br good for energy....
Sorry that is alot of questions!
Anyway the main thing is im hearing you and im always here for you 💜 @Sans911

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
Hi @Sans911 .... 💐💕
Vitamin levels can be something to keep in mind too. Iron and Vit D being out of whack have made us extremely lethargic at times, and one of mine is still in double-dose Vit D to try to rebuild their levels. Another was going out backwards with a hypothyroidism issue till it was discovered. Bloods are now the first thing I check.

Re: The Challenges of Mental Health Wellbeing
My iron levels were down a month ago @Faith-and-Hope
but are essentially back to normal. I took a supplement which my GP wants me to continue for another month. Not sure about vit d levels. My GP is quite proactive about testing/treating things when I bring them up. I've been seeing her weekly for quite some time now, mostly for mh reasons, but tied in with that are physical complaints as well, so when I said I was extremely tired some weeks back, she did not hesitate to check my levels. I have to have regular bloods anyway due the potential effects of one of my meds.
My mother and brother have significant thyroid issues, almost on max doses of meds, but I've escaped that.
