Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

What did everyone get up to this weekend? I've had bit of hectic week, so I made sure that today was self-care healthy kind of day: I woke up and went to yoga, then I spent the day in the kitchen working away on making yummy creations. I started off with a berry and kale smoothie, and then I made muesli bars. Now, I know the sounds of kale might sound odd, but you can't taste it. Truly! - It's yummy! If you're interested, I've included the recipes. I love healthy good food, so good for the body and mind (when I'm not indulging in salted caramel tim tams Smiley Wink)

- 1 cup of roughly cut kale (any type will do)

- 1 cup of berries

- 1 banana

 - 1 - 2 tablespoons of honey/agave depending on preference

- 2/3 of a cup of water.

Place all ingredients into a blender and blitz, then drink! Yummy! (serves 1)

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Way to go with the cooking / healthy looking after yourself! @CherryBomb looks great!
I mowed the lawns today... waaaay overdue, kids found some toys they'd forgotten existed in the long grass.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Yay this is fun...

I was chuffed to actually decide a few of my very own choices - if you can avoid forgetting how awesome your independence is; from other people and being deluded into allowing anyone else to tell you who you are... Individual is what you are.

And then, played beauty salon with my baby sister and have started sewing some pretty dresses to size for her... Did I mention I made my own decision 😛 he he he

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

My weekend pretty much involved sleep. I literally slept for over 24 hr straight. I guess I needed it after the hectic few weeks I've had

Okay... it's that time of the week again! Sunday Funday. An opportunity to share what you got up to over the weekend.

- Did you achieve anything on your to-do list (Apparently the clothes don't fold themselves Smiley Surprised)

- Did you have a great chat to a friend, a neighbour or stranger?

- Do you feel refreshed?

Anything & everything is worth a mention.

I didn't get out a lot this weekend (loads and loads of cleaning and washing YUK!) but I did get to have a proper look through my photos from a recent holiday. Here is a fave 🙂

Also a big HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the mums out there

Happy Mother's Day mummies!

I'm starting to socialise more and I'm kinda thinking about s**t differently which is pretty great actually. Recently I wrote down some wondrous rules to live by (conveniently found on the world wide web if you search 'how to not be annoying') hahahaha yes I need to get a life but it worked for me... I'm making friends this week 🙂

1. DONT THINK YOU'RE ANNOYING
2. DONT FEEL SORRY FOR YOURSELF
3. DONT THINK YOU'RE HOT IF YOU ARE NOT (VICE VERSA)
4. KEEP YOUR WORD
5. LISTEN
6. SMILE

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

What did everyone get up to this weekend?

It was a beautiful sunny weekend in Melbourne, I went for a stroll around the city, did some window shopping and went out for brunch yesterday. It was a really lovely day, sort of like I was on holidays but in my own city. Smiley Wink

Today was little bit low key - just did the house work, and grocery shop. But it always feels good to get the week into order. Smiley Very Happy

How was your weekend? @Crazy_Bug_Lady did you go to the farm today? @SCORPION nice to see you back on here, get up to much this weekend? @Former-Member how was your day today? @kristin is your daughter feeling better, and how are you doing? I'm just naming people who I've seen recently on here so feel free to tag other people....

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Yup busy busy. I had work this weekend, it's only for 2-3 hours, and there's only two staff on, so that wasn't too stressful for me (thank goodness). After work I went straight up to the farm. That's where it becomes clear to me that I'm struggling, I'm still quite focused on the matter at hand (working on a cow) but I just wasn't my usual happy happy self, and the others noticed. Thankfully they have family with MI so are quite understanding.
It was still good to be out in the sun, and it always feels like a great achievement to have an animal walking with you and doing what you want only attached by a rope halter.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Glad to hear that you got out in the sun. It was also a stellar day here in Melbourne.

Even though you don't feel like you're not your usually happy self, I would like to gently remind you of what you've been able to work through this last week. Be proud of that! I am proud of you.

If you ever get chance, and would be willing to share, I'd love to see a photo of your baby scorpians. How many do you have?
