Hey lovely mermaid, @MoonGal. You rocked it! Smiley Happy

Re: Exercise and Goal Setting

Here's an odd question for everyone: what do you wear to yoga? Trying to work out what I can find in my limited wardrobe to wear to next week's class. Don't want to spend cash on new stuff if I can avoid it.

Re: Exercise and Goal Setting

Loose and comfortable.Pants/shorts.  I dont think it needs to be stretchy or gorgeous, so long as it has a bit of give.  No shoes.

You'll love this for a laugh .. one day I mucked up a step and a yoga class ... left my runners behind and arrived in bare feet ... not the done thing for some classes.

Re: Exercise and Goal Setting

I love it @Appleblossom, bare feet is the best

Re: Exercise and Goal Setting

I love the rain and we need it so much, not in big flash floods, but in steady amounts.  I love swimming in the rain ... beach or pool.

@Former-Member

I learned to ride a bicycle as an adult too ... after I had ridden a motor cycle!  I was broke after travelling overseas and it was a good way to get to uni.  I got my car drivers licence way after that.

You are doing great .. and it is lovely to hear about your days ... and the ups and downs ... and "ups" again.

Re: Exercise and Goal Setting

Hi all,

~ Hot Hatha yoga today...

~I experienced dizziness today, due to not having any fruit juice before class. I read in my yoga magazine that it is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach or fruit, so I usually have a glass of fruit juice. I did have beetroot juice (helpful for running ~ oxygen flow....) & watermelon, but it wasn't enough energy. Still I got through it & I'm glad I went.

Looking forward to learning how to ride a bike @Appleblossom...

Namaste,

A

Re: Exercise and Goal Setting

Hi @Former-Member, glad you have figured out what caused the dizziness and the remdy to that next time. Good on you for keeping on going. My blood sugars play havoc with my mood and stamina too.

I went to the pool today for second time 🙂 did some noodle steps (10 reps both legs with 4 different types) and 10 each of 2 different types of resistance weight reps. starting 'small". Did 3 laps - slowly concentrating on form rather than speed or strength. So I set a goal of getting there today and did. TICK

Didn't walk today but did get some functional walking in at the supermarket. Note to self - don't wear wet bathers under a dress and go shopping. It's uncomfortable.

@Shaz51 - sorry to hear about your kidney infection hope the antibiotics help there and you are back on par soon, you have had a rough trot. Do you take a course of probiotics once you have finished antibiotics? (Def. links between gut flora and mental health, I always do a weeks course after antibiotics tohelp balance up again.)
