Hi @Polly48,
Glad you have joined in. Great that you are coming out of a depression. I'm doing that too. A slow-building increase in daily exercise over recent months has done a lot towards lifting the dark veil and letting some sunshine in.
I've done a lot of functional walking so far this week getting around on public transport and walking fairly long distances (for me) where the buses don't go. Also had a walk on the beach a couple of days ago. One day I walked about 3km in heat and humidity (and sweat, lol), then against a strong headwind on the beach. This is extending my own walking envelope. Feet are holding up better than I thught they would.
Looking forward to everyone's next bulletin. 🙂

Hi aButterfly and Marzarita had a bad nights sleep and took a sleeping tablet. Awoke too late for gym classes. So disappointed, but I will get there tomorrow.

Welcome @Polly48, it's great to see that you've joined this thread. Sorry to hear about your restless night. Try to be kind to yourself. It sounds like your body may have needed the rest. There's always tomorrow to get back on the horse.
@MoonGal awesome job on swimming! Focusing on technique is a great idea.
@Mazarita Sounds like you've been really committed to your daily walks. Your devotion is really impressive.
@Former-Member I found myself asking the same question this week. I try pratice CBT, watch my thoughts, and don't let them become my reality, and to challenge negative thoughts by reminding myself why I do it. It helps a bit, but these feelings/thoughts have stuck with me this week. I've managed to work through and practice, but boy, it's tough.
@Shaz51 glad to hear that you're feeling better.
@Appleblossom glad to hear that you're working up a sweat and getting fit
My update: Feeling better, and slowly increasing my exercise plan while I regain my strength. Went for an 8km hike this week, yoga every day, and then climbed this week. The hike felt brutal. To be honest, I kind of hated it. It was so hard! And there were SO many leaches! But I felt a sense of achievement after it. I did easier variations of yoga and climbing throughout the week. It's nice to be out in the fresh air again.

Hi @Polly48,
I tend to get very disappointed with myself at times too. @MoonGal wrote something in another message about how the key to success may be to 'just keep starting'. I love that idea. Best wishes for getting there tomorrow.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that we have a 'real time' get together on Friday nights called the 'Friday Feast'. It is in progress now if you feel like joining in with us.

Hi Moon Gal. We are going on a caravan Tag Along Tour in May/June. And so I only joined gym for 3months. Want to get most benefit from membership. I will take it gently at first. As long as I am moving it has got to better than sitting as much as I have been.Hi Shaz51 and Apple Blossom appreciate your comments.
