@outlander I'm hearing you and hope that you can make this change. Seeing that pic could serve to reinforce that feeling. Sometimes we just get stuck. 

Please try to look around you or remember something that brought you joy. Even surf the net, perhaps look for an inspirational quote. Little changes lead to big ones. 

Think about how you would like to feel and strive towards that.

That was a beautiful gift @Former-Member and it was such a positive move to replace your previous one.

Perhaps @outlander could be encouraged to use that wonderful skill that she has to create a new avatar for herself. 

Maybe we as a community could find something for her if it is a bit much for her to do right now.

This is a super cool topic for a thread @soul.

My avatar is a picture that I came across only a day or two before I came to Forum Land. When I saw it, I was struck by the poignancy and absurdity of it. The little seed found itself in such a less-than-ideal environment, and yet still managed to grow. I'm sure it didn't plan to fall into the lock, and it probably had no say about landing in there, but despite it being in such a tricky spot right from the beginning, it is still growing. It may never be what it could have been if it had had a better start, but it looks to me like it is being the best that it can be given the situation in which it finds itself.

I've looked at your pic so many times @Phoenix_Rising and didn't realise that there was a little plant growing. I'm loving the story behind it. 

And what really blows me away is the positivity I have already heard from people who are struggling often on a daily basis. That means they have hope and that is such a wonderful thing.

I feel like I'm getting to know my Forumites a little more. Finding out about their personalities.

Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to hear more stories.

What a great idea - I have always liked your jellyfish - it's beautiful and also looks as if it is always striving upwards - as you seem to be also

My owl is watching over - because I often just read the forum on my phone I do have an idea of how people are going but it was @outlander who suggested my first image when I said I felt like a pixar owl on the mantle-piece watching over and when I came across the owl I have now - this owl was watching over at night - which is something I am always doing

I love other people's explanations - our avatars mean something - our names must mean something also - I guess we can do that too but let's choose another thread
