Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

@soul   I was going to put this on the birdy thread but read your post and it seemed appropriate here lol  My darlings cocktail's and budgies go bananas over the washing machine and vacuum cleaner also šŸ™‚

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Yes @Faith-and-Hope, @soul, @Maggie, I'M OK! Kinda. Don't feel well but cleaned for my sons visit (till 1am), worked 4.5hrs at the shop this morning (really busy), had lunch out with son, brang him home for coffee and, wait for it - he cleaned my gutters (first time 8yrs - happy dance!), I cooked him Anzac bisc (his fav), had laydown with heat pack. A friend dropped by for coffee. Son just left to have tea with his dad, might stay the night there or here, undecided, he likes my birds and gave me deliberate big hug re dog (wanted to cry but tears dry from fatigue), still very nice of him - he's growing up. Now I'm resting, too tired and sore to eat yea, Trying to relax.

Yes @Maggie, o bought 2bourke birds and 4 finches 2days back, and keep them inside for company. Sounds like you've been productive with gardening and washing - well done!

Yes @soul, birdies getting on now, the male bourke was chasing finches at first but he's quiet today. Yes, they huddle together on the pirch, I particularly like the 4 finches lined up together. Yes, really cute šŸ¦šŸ¦šŸ¦šŸ¦ One finch is jumping in and out the nesting basket today (that's exciting!).

Hugz to you Faith-and-hope, thanks, but, how are U coping?

I keep nodding off so just giving a headsup should I drop out. šŸ™‚

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Hi @Former-Member - I love hearing about your new little companions. Do you talk to them? Four finches in a row - how adorable.

Sounds like you've had a busy day and are in need of a rest. Lovely that your son spent some time with you and helped you out as well. I bet he appreciated the Anzac biscuits. Take care of your aches and pains.

I have a little song for you.

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Whoopsie .... didn't realise (register?) that today was the day your son was coming to visit @Former-Member, although now I remember that you did say it yesterday. Glad you had a wonderful-ish day ..... and woo-hoo for the gutters ..... šŸ˜Š

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Saw a little 15 year old terrier type dog being wheeled in a stroller during my travels out and about today. Made me think of your Claypan @Former-Member.

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks for thinking of us @soul, I'm missing him, feeling the guilts (did i love him enough etc) and occasionally have this urge to rush to the Vet and bring him home. Miss it when I come home most - he use to greet me so happy. A few ppl have said they're worried about me now without the dog here, what's with that?

My back's sore this morning before I even get up - not fun. Maybe the cold, bit of a cold snap here after a rather warm winter fortnight.

Winter blues are helped most by time outside, so guess I'll try potter in the garden today. Maybe even walk the block.

Well, better grab a cuppa. Talk to the birds šŸ¦ šŸ’œšŸ’•

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Of course you are missing little Claypan. He was such a big part of your life @Former-Member. Isn't it a wonderful feeling when they are so happy to see you even if you've been gone just a short time?

Enjoy your day. We had a little shower in the night so at least the dust has settled. Say hi to the birds for me.

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks @soul, and love the pic. Cried that you're talking to me, how weird is that? Not sure how much longer I can push fwd but giving it my best shot. Just put a spinach onion tomatoes cheeze omelette on, trying to eat better, smells good. Must go for a walk too. Do you think everyone leaves me because I'm just not worth it? Not sure if I could have done better. Probably betta stop going down that train of thought too long, starting to formulate a plan which isn't good I guess, putting me down like beloved suffering dog. This world is so upside down, actually, its back-to-front, inside-out and up-side-down šŸ˜• Do you think letting go of life in the flesh is lacking faith? sin? Can't see a way fwd on my own, honestly. Could hardly walk up my back steps this morning.
