I do have your back @Former-Memberand I have to say that I shed a few tears about your situation. Knowing how much I love my dog, for you to have been with Claypan for such a long time, it must be extremely sad and of course the connection to your daughter makes it all the more heartbreaking.
I just love the way my dog goes ballistic when my son comes to visit and when I was living overseas and would come back every three months or so, the pooch would go crazy. I have a video of one such greeting.
Do you have lots of photos and/or video of Claypan?
Don't make any major decisions just yet. You are going through a difficult time. Wait until you are feeling better. And yes, spring is just around the corner. We have 30 degree plus temps coming up soon, then probably one more cold snap and then winter will be gone.

Hi @Former-Member Ive been thinking about you a lot hoping you are ok. It's such a tough time for you. Before my present girl, I had a jack Russell for 17 yrs, she passed the same way, heart and old. It's a tough situation when they are your constant companion. I hope you have a warm spring day to get out into the garden and see the birds etc. whatever you decide to do, will be thinking of you, sending warm wishes your way. Take care.
