I have a problem…

Hi guys, hope every1 out there is getting by?

I haven’t been on here in a long time, but everone here has always been so supportive and caring that this was the first place that came to mind when I developed my new “problem”.

I’m hoping someone out there will be able to relate to this (and to me) because it’s very difficult to talk about, but so hard to go thru on your own 😞

To keep it brief, I’m a mid 40’s, married mother of 1 with a diagnosis of CPTSD (and more specifically DID).

Somehow, and for a yet unkown reason, (and seemingly out of nowhere), I have developed massive bladder control issues.

I have some specialist appointments schduled, so will know more soon, but I’m feeling pretty alone with this rite now.

Its all still very new.

I have so many worries about so many factors of this….

I dont know if that CPTSD info will turn out to be relevent or not, because so far I have spoken briefly to 2 Urologists.

1 strongly recommended an MRI and all kinds of other invasive & horrifying assessments and the other sort of believes it’s all due to stress and tension. (does that mean behavioural?)

Anyway, would really like to talk to any1 who has experience or knowledge related to urinary incontinence!

Take care guys,

Unlonely1

Re: I have a problem…

There is Tesla technology that you can use to get rid of incontinence.  I've heard people have wasted time at doctors when this technology is widely available. They are at alternate health care clinics and people are able to get relief @Unlonely1

Re: I have a problem…

try this organisation: https://www.continence.org.au/contact-us

Re: I have a problem…

I don't know anything about your problem @Unlonely1, but just wanted to say that it's good to see you back, and back with your gorgeous screen pic. I think it's a favourite of mine. I hope things have not been going too badly for you.

Re: I have a problem…

Agree, @scruffypuffball. Loading up with information and wider opinions is very helpful, as is trying the simplest, most non-invasive methods first.

Re: I have a problem…

Hey @Unlonely1

I have had the same issue a while back. I also have CPTSD and DID. It was sort of investigated through an incontinence clinic which wasn't much fun but not invasive. I was on a blood pressure medication that might have caused it. It was quite a while ago but I think it was a medication designed to lower blood pressure by relaxing the veins and arteries but it relaxed a whole lot more.

I also still have trouble occasionally now. Now it seems to be more related to the dissociation. I am sometimes so disconnected from my physical body that I don't even notice that I need to go until it is too late. This happens particularly if I am under stress. I will go for hours and hours because something has to be dealt with and then the second I get out of the car at home, I'm flooding. To try to prevent this I try to go to the loo by the clock as well as every time I leave the house. ( I eat by the clock for the same reason. I never feel hungry.)

I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to post. It can be very embarrassing so good on you.

I don't know if anything I've said helps but I hope you feel less alone.

Re: I have a problem…

Thank you for sharing @Ocean-Blue . You post was very helpful for me too.

I'm glad you have been able to work out what helps you and have the honesty and strength to share it on the forums.

Thank you

How r u @Historylover ?

Re: I have a problem…

Not a lot has changed for me, @Unlonely1. I hope you've been doing alright. Your absence suggests you've been doing reasonably, at the least. I hope so.

Re: I have a problem…

We’ve been working impossibly hard & constantly with our therapy team …

tired, frustrated, & completely bewildered now,  by this latest challenge.
