Re: A long rave

Good morning @Mazarita @Faith-and-Hope @greenpea @Exoplanet @The-red-centaur and anyone else passing by here this morning.  Still waking up here and it's a clear and cold morning with sunshine and currawongs.

Will go and catch up on overnight posts now.

Hope today is off to a good start for everyone.

Hi to you too @CheerBear @Teej @show_me_gray @outlander @Shaz51@Appleblossom  @MDT@Sophia1

Re: A long rave

I'd just like to apologize to everyone that I haven't been able to respond more directly to people's posts lately.  Partly coz I've had so much happening IRL and partly coz I've missed the times when others were posting.  Notifications are still coming through all out of order and sometimes seriously delayed.

Re: A long rave

@eth 2 degrees here! That is freezing for where I live. Haven't ventured outside yet but will later as the day goes on as the sky is clear blue and it looks like a glorious day ahead. I hope you and everyone on the forums have a wonderful day and that their cares and worries dissipate as the day goes on. xxx

Re: A long rave

Hi @greenpea  sounds like we're both getting the best of winter weather even if cold, it's clear and sunny here too.  The currawongs and maggies are going mad here.  Hope you have a great day too.

Re: A long rave

@eth You know eth I am thrilled that you have been so busy doing fun stuff irl that no apology is needed. Have some fun 😄 xxxx

Re: A long rave

Hey @greenpea SNAP!  Even tho' it's been fantastic news this last week, I went straight into high anxiety about getting it all right putting my plan into action.  Can't call it fun yet, tho' I had a fire last night in the veggie garden and my mantra while doing it was "out with the old, in with the new".  It all seems to matter so much and I wish I was just looking forward to all the changes coming, but I'm just not good at lots of change.

Hope you enjoy getting out for your walk today.  Do you have anything else planned?

Re: A long rave

Morning @Faith-and-Hope @Mazarita @eth @greenpea @Sophia1 @PeppiPatty @The-red-centaur @Exoplanet @CheerBear and all who pass through
Hoping todays a good one for you

I have managed to find an awesome little Awd/4x4 honda CR-V. Its all very sport with a sunroof that i can open and close electronically and everything else is electronic except for the locking system but can upgrade when i can afford it. Its also got a built in picnic table in the boot under the floor mats.
I had an issue with it up at the dealer but was fixed on the spot-was a crappy wheel that made the car wobble. It took a 7 hr round trip plus an hr and abit at the dealership so was a huge day with many firsts (drove in fog,in the rain (with a storm which i dont cope with well) in the dark in a new area,a very busy traffic area, a long drive up and also driving on my own on the way back with no help except a navagator who kept getting me lost!) But i made it back not long after pop and his friend got home. Was a very big adventure 2 days ago. Im already having problems with it but i took it to a mechanic friend who has eased my fears abit and says it sounds like a gearbox service plus just some rubbers in the front end ($200 to fix all up)

Exoplanet- my wrist is very slowly getting there. I can almost close my whole hand now but cant hold things yet. I still have carpal tunnel syndrome but trying to get it under control with taping and wrist/finger supports and physio. Not doing so great mentally but i had some help from here last night that helped me to see it a different way.

I need to get through a very loud and lots of kids running around family gathering at lunch time so will be lots of breathing happening.

Wow that abit of a rave that was huh. Hoping all is well with everyone. Any plans at all?

Re: A long rave

HHi @outlander  good to hear you found a car you like.  What an adventure you had to get it.  Well done!  Hopefully the problems you've had with it are solved quickly and not too expensively.  Hope you can get through the lunch today with calm and strength.

My day will just be more research relating to putting my NDIS plan into action and getting on the exercise bike after the maggies go elsewhere (I hope).  They are bombing the dog and flying quite close to me every time I go out for a ciggie.

Re: A long rave

Hello @outlander Heart

Yay for the car & having someone who can give you mechanical advice 🙂 Hugs to help you through the full-on family dinner Heart Glad your getting movement back in your hand 🙂

Sending vibes of clarity to help you through your research today @eth. Have you tried wearing a brightly coloured hat or a bike helmet for the mapies? I've seen people use zip ties, so the ends just sit straight up, on hats & bike helmets, to deter them. I tend to just hold a good lengthed branch over one shoulder, so that the end sits up above my head. An umbrella might help put them off too?

Plans for today. I took the farm cars wheels off yesterday, so I can take them into the servo & pump them up, so I can use it to collect some more branches to break for the fire. I'll be heading to the next town over & getting my weekly dvds  {& maybe some take-away treat for dinner?} & the young lad is coming to continue with the posts this afternoon  . . . phew . . . what a day . . . better not think too much about too much 😉

Oh & I'll get a walk with the dogs in there somewhere 🙂

Hi @greenpea @Faith-and-Hope @Sophia1
