Hi everyone. Feeling a bit nostalgic today, perhaps because it would have been my 27th wedding anniversary today. 😪 It's all a bit strange when you have so many mixed emotions associated with it.
On a happy note however, my sweet little Hannah (my constant companion) had her first birthday on Wednesday. She had her first full groom the day prior, losing much of her puppy coat. She looks very grown up now. Here is a photo from Wednesday. Isn't she beautiful? 💞

Good morning @Shaz51 and thank you for responding. Yes, I agree, my little Hannah is very beautiful. 💞
I am sad to hear that your kidney function has deteriorated further. It's not good news Shaz, as 17% function is only just above the technical 15% kidney failure level. I hope your nephrologist has some solutions for you, as I expect they will want to do something 💕
Take care Shaz, and sending big hugs 🤗 💓

Thanks @Snowie 🙏
And yes, Hannah makes a huge difference to my mental health.
I am in the process of getting her registered as an assistance dog. But it is a necessarily long process. We are ticking boxes though. 💓

Pets do make a big difference @Emelia8 They love you unconditionally.
I've never looked into what you need to do to have an assistance dog. I think it is a great idea.
Last month when I was in hospital, a girl had an assistance dog with her. It was well behaved. She got extra leave time so the dog could do its business.
