Things that may help

Hi, hope everyone is having a pretty good day so far.  I've come across a couple of online courses that people may be interested in.

mindspot.org.au  is an online and telephone treatment for anxiety and depression funded by the australian government.  It's free.

thiswayup.org.au/clinic  this is a little more involve and there is a fee.

It is worth looking at the websites but you may want to check with your gp or counsellor first.

There is quite a lot of help out there but it also takes commitment and hard work from you cause only you can change yourself with a good support network.

Hope this helps, enjoy your day.🌻

Re: Things that may help

I did the mindspot course last year .. amongst heaps of other courses. Yes it might be helpful for people with simple circumstances who just need a quick fix. I have reached many many of my concrete goals in life.  I am not sure that I should really be changing myself that much.  They say we can change only about 30% anyway .... thats when I did my counselling course. I think it is a bit simplistic to say that its just about changing ourselves.

Good Luck @B45

Re: Things that may help

Thanks for your reply @Appleblossom.  There is nothing simple about recovering or coping with mental illness.  There are many levels involved & one of those levels is the way we think and deal with certain issues.  These online courses may be of help to some people but not others.  You have to find things that suit you.  There is no simple quick fix.  Introduce new things into your life, like meditation, breathing exercises.  Also a combination of counselling and medication.
