Yep .... that's the definition I can relate to, but it wasn't WH himself .... it was the rest of the family. I had a wolf-pack like that to deal with in my early years of marriage .... ended up shutting them all out and WH had buried himself in workaholism, so I was virtually single parenting .... had neighbours who didn't know I was married .... lol .... but it was WH who worked out how to deal with the rest of them when their true colours began to show up to him ..... became not-so-covert once I challenged them over it outright, and he had encouraged me to do so, cos he couldn't see it .... till I brought them all out into the open.
Now with this illness it's thrown all the dynamics into chaos again, but it's only MIL who is still a problem .... the others have undergone changing life experiences and relationships across the last 30 year span .... but the underlying issues have contributed now to WH!s illness ..... and everybody is becoming afraid for him, except MIL cos it's serving her (also unwell) foundational ideas. She really doesn't understand that he is ill, and as ill as he is .....
On a different rollercoaster now than the last one, but the covert aggression is not featuring much .... the e.d. has taken centre stage. But while WH is away for another couple of weeks yet, I am resting up and storing energy for whatever state he is in when he gets back. It is all control issues in one form or another. WH's has turned inwards.
I'm off for this walk. Will let you know if I see dolphins, but might be a bit late in the day now.
@Former-Member .... yes .... I can remember making the dense coconutty ones a long time ago from a recipe that called them MacarOONS ..... and in France they refer to the soo get sandwich ones as MacarOns ..... but here I hear them referred to as macarOOns ..... mislabeled I guess .....
