Re: Daily Check In Space
@Shaz51 Hmmmm a 5/10 today. Struggling with keeping my sadness at bay but got myself off the lounge today and cleaned my windows (inside) as torrential rain here. Local shop does great home cooked takeaway meals so treated myself to a delicious lasagna tonight. I also found a beautiful little carved wooden box and have filled it with letters from my girl and Mother’s Day cards from happier days past. When I find myself thinking too much about our situation, I visualise putting those thoughts in the box to be looked at later. It seems to be helping a little and stops me ruminating. Also silently Grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

Thanks @Shaz51 10 steps forward 10 steps back. As long as you keep taking those steps forward hey! Whatever it takes. Humid and soggy here with wave after wave of heavy showers. Thanks for caring 🙏❤️ It means so very much xx

2/10 atm at best
Darling and 2 out of 3 children falling apart at the seams.
1 person down at work means it has been crazy. More so because I am still in training in a new job so feeling well out of my depth 🤕

Re: Daily Check In Space
I'm so sorry to hear @Determined .
You are doing the best you can. There will always be ups and downs. Now it is about supporting you through this more challenging period of time.
It can be so hard to feel 'well out of [your] depth'. It's hard on anyone, let alone what is happening for you at the moment.
Please know we are with you, sitting with you, and waiting for a shift.

Thanks @tyme
Am confident this too will pass.
Don't like to sound like I am moaning, just verbalising helps to process.
Internalise = burnout
I need to keep afloat to keep my family afloat.

Re: Daily Check In Space
I used to feel guilty for getting caring benefits from centrelink. Can see the value and credibility in it now.
This job is in many ways all about me feeling good about myself providing for my family. And with 12 weeks holiday each year a good stepping stone for our family to build.some capacity and well-being. Was aware going I that there was risk in me being not on hand 24/7. Despite this it has still left me rattled 😕
