Well as we know from here on the forums you can find some online or in your local community spaces.

council services
libraries - often have leaflets about various groups
online searches
searching for the specific activity, sport or hobby
maybe its also finding various types of work environments that align with own set of values or purpose
Facebook have various groups
Art, theatre or music centres, meet up groups

IMHO, it needs the discerning element of human perception. We are talking about seeking compatability along profound spiritual, emotional & ideological criteria here. I don't think computers have attained the capability to sort people along those lines, yet.

Likewise, my experiance has been that it's a bit of a pipe dream to show up randomly to a scenario that contains other warm bodies, and expect that they'll be the ones you've been looking for.
