Re: Welcome Peer Guides!

What a lovely welcome @tyme

Thank you so much.

Very much look forward to walking alongside the new peer guides as they embark on second part of the Peer Guide Program.

Like any new journey we will need time to get comfortable in this new space. It takes time for the unfamiliar to become familiar. Rest assured you are part of a committed group of people determined to try to make a difference and support people through their mental health challenges. We're all here for you. Really excited about this new phase.

Re: Welcome Peer Guides!

Hey @Shaz51 🙂

Thanks for sharing some of your story and interests areas on the forums 🙂🌺

The Topic Tuesdays sound interesting, as do the Peer Chat Groups ☺️

I was hoping to have a look at some of the forum threads today..just a little distracted by a couple of extra mechanical issues while out and about (a most inconvenient flat tyre on a road with nowhere to stop, and changing it..picture someone with movement limitations on crutches changing a tyre on the soft roadside…hahaha 😅🙌🏻)

while managing the worsening clock spring while I wait for parts to arrive.. so I’ll try my best to have a read of the carer, lived experience, and social threads tonight or tomorrow - I’m hoping this can give some perspective of our new peer guide opportunities to provide support 💜🙂

Thank you for sharing about your life outside of SANE, it really sounds like you’re a wonderful support for all your family🌺💜

It’s sometimes hard to support with health challenges and illnesses…I’m sorry to hear you have stage 4CKD and one kidney ❤️‍🩹🌺

I have stage 3aCKD, induced by immune issues, and there’s a lot that is noticeable when they’re not working properly - if you ever want to chat anything ‘kidney’, I’m always up for that 🌺🙂

Just finished my first 2 hour stint.  Still at novice at what I am supposed to do, but I really felt that I contributed in my own tiny way.  Looking forward to doing what I can

Wrap around hugs to everyone -- (nothing like a good hug)
