Hi all
My daughter has told me she has a diagnosis of BPD
I have also been reading about High Conflict Personality Disorder and thinking she fits this, due to her constant and quick escalations.
Does anyone have thoughts about these disorders and similarities?

I don't think HCPD is an accepted diagnosis. It's not in the DSM or ICD
It's more of a general term for cluster B disorders, or any personality disorder associated with interpersonal aggression

I haven’t heard the phrase before that you’ve referred to -so can’t comment on that. I have found a lot of resources on the Sane site that covers alot about BPD - also try googling BPD Co, which gives great insight into this. Parts of BPD would definitely relate to some of what you’ve highlighted but there are many other traits - so getting as much factual information as possible would really help you. It’s not easy living with a person who gets emotionally overwhelmed easily, hope you are ok and you’re daughter is getting the help she needs.
