Re: Depression anxiety
Thanks for checking up on me M. You’re such a nice man. I think I’m starting to settle down after a conversation with someone a few days ago who has been a big part of my problems. It has lessened the anxiety a bit, I think, and I got an apology, although maybe I’m cynical or expecting too much, but I didn’t feel it was very meaningful. Hard to know really, but my gut tells me it wasn’t.
A bit odd but I woke up about 4am this morning feeling like I’d had a really good sleep, but of course I stayed there and slept more until about 8.30, then woke up feeling not so good, but didn’t want to get out of bed. I had to though.
How were you able to put in an emoji on one of your posts ? I tried that and it was rejected.
bye for now M, and thanks again

Re: Depression anxiety
@LulaGreat to hear you feel a bit more settled. Any improvement is an improvement so take every win you can. As for the apology, this id from someone who is constantly told he overthinks everything... but don't overthink it. You may well be right and it wasn't meaningful, but it was made so take it for what it's worth. So many people don't even bother with apologies, even if they don't really mean them, so at the very least, some thought for you was there.
Maybe because I don't sleep really well every night, but even when I did the same thing would happen occasionally... I would be woken up early and feel awake and ready but I would just stay in bed. I'd then wake up again at the proper time and feel like I'd hardly had any sleep. It's weird. It's sort of like sometimes I wake up early now and think I might as well get up. I do, have some breakfast, start watching some TV and within an hour or two I feel like I've been awake for 24 hours!
When I use emojis, I just use the button up the top of the reply window...
Like above. Click on the emoji icon (circled) and the box of them will pop up and just click on the one you want to insert. If that's what you were doing and it was rejected, let me know how it was rejected... was there an error message or anything? Sometimes I still just do a smiley face the old school way by just typing a colon followed by an end bracket.... 🙂
Take care.

Re: Depression anxiety
😁Hi M - I’m just testing now by adding an emoji or three and maybe a photo 👍. I’m guilty of not having noticed these editing options above, so thank you for telling me - I might never have noticed otherwise 😏
When I tried to include an emoji before it was from my on-screen keyboard
If these work I’ll be tempted to ask for your help managing this site with photos attached
bye for now M

Re: Depression anxiety
I remember the first few chats we had and you were so stressed about navigating the site. Now emojis and attached photos! I hope you're feeling much more comfortable with using the site now, and more importantly, feeling less stressed about it.
No need to resist the temptation... ask away. I'm more then happy to help.

Re: Depression anxiety
No problem at all, I'm always happy to help however I can. Don't forget to thank yourself as well.
I get what you're saying about the 'senior' thing. We do get wiser as we get older and they say you learn more from your mistakes than you do from your successes, so I am probably very wise by now. One of the things I have learnt is that wisdom and knowledge aren't much use to you unless you share it with others.
I think one of my main problems in life has always been the ability to make connections with other people, and it's definitely one of the major things I've tried really hard to work on this year. So reading your responses and hearing how sharing my knowledge has helped you, reminds me that all that work is paying off... as well as helping other people in the process which just makes me want to work harder at it. So I thank you as well. It encourages me so much to keep doing what i'm doing knowing that I'm heading in a good direction finally.

Re: Depression anxiety
Hey M @MJG017
In my post at 9.02 pm on 4/9 I made a typo I said you had to much to offer 😣, that was meant to be SO much to offer. I can use the keyboard too fast for the system I’m on, or Sanes forums, or whatever it is.
I’m so tired tonight M, have been to my psych today, that’s the only reason, apart from my anxiety.
You did tell me once but I can’t remember or find it, but when I get the message that someone supported my post what does that mean pls ?
Hope you’re good M. Bye

Re: Depression anxiety
When you get the message that someone supported your message, it means they have read it and they want to support you (or give you a kudo). @Lula Hope you are well. So great to see you.
