awww @Bunniekins I did leave a couple of messages for you - think more in hope that you would decide not to leave - or at leat pop back in ocassionally. It is a hard place to stay away from isn't it lol

I have had minor reactions to each flu shot I have had - and the year I ended up in hospital with the flu I had had a flu shot - I can only imagine what would have happened if I hadn't had the shot  I also had the flu last year but the severity of it was nowhere near the year before. So having the flu shot for me is an absolute necesssity - hopefully this year it will stop me contracting the flu at all.

@Zoe7 the flu with a flu shot! You must be susceptible to it. I agree best you take precautions and have the shot. Touch wood I have only had it once my youngest brought it home from school and we all caught it. Remember when swine flu was the talk it was that year.

@frog Thanks Froggy I am very nervous I know what I am going to get but I will head everyone's advice and not let her insecurities rattle me.

I do remember swine flu - lucky it wasn't that strain @Bunniekins.

I managed to get 2 strains of the flu at once...I am convinced it was from one of the kids at school who spat on me - he cried afterwards - he was devastated he had done that to me when he calmed down (and yes - he was one of my favourite kids!) I forgave him pretty quickly - I was more worried about him hurting himself in his destructive mode.
