Re: not coping

@Otter

Email just came through

Re: not coping

the review on the 4th is actually with another surgeon to get a second opinion @Lee82
every time I see my regular surgeon im there for 5 minutes they do 2 little nerve tests and then send me on my way, it takes me 2 and a half hours on a train there and back so 5 hours all up for a 5 minute appointment that I never get my questions answered. so im just getting a second opinion to see if there is something I may be able to do.
I get very nervous going to a hospital setting even though its in my area so I hired her (a support worker) who has abit of medical training to come so that she can listen in and if I get stuck on something or if I get given options I can discuss it with someone who have some knowledge.

Re: not coping

Glad to see you've received the email, @Lee71 .

I hope your night tonight is not as awful as usual...

Re: not coping

hope your nights ok @Lee71 and that you can manage some sleep

Re: not coping

@outlander

I know what you mean about support workers with dominant personalities, but your original reasoning was very sound. Maybe she will be able to rein in the dominance a little.  It is a hard one. I am working on that with my support wkr who means well, but is very dominant.

Not being able talk medical things thru with family is tough, so you are putting yourself in the best position to make a good decision.
