Re: not coping

im on the wait list @Snowie but reception its rare. i could probably get into my original specalist faster but he hasnt done much for me in regards to diagnosis in the past and has said he didnt know what else to do so best i try someone else.

Re: not coping

Fair enough @outlander I can understand the need to wait for this new specialist, especially if your old one can't do anything else for you.

Re: not coping

@outlander , are you able to go on the waitlist for if someone cancels?

7 weeks is a long time to leave you hanging, waiting.

Does the specialist know how important this is?

Re: not coping

hey @Snowie @tyme and everyone

Sorry ive been away. i required an urgent hospital admission for my health but thankfully feeling a little better.

i was thankfully approved for another house but no idea when another one may come about.
i lost another job because the company stuffed the client around but i have been lucky enough to secure another job working as a peer supporter! working more in mental health compared to physical disabilities which was getting increasingly difficult with my own physical issues. i start with them this week so lets hope everything goes well! tomorrow will be my first day

i will finally be able to see my new specialist as well. it wasnt till the end of next week but they managed to fit me into a spot tomorrow evening after getting the reports from the hospital admission and bumped it to a more urgent case.

Re: not coping

oh my dear @outlander you have made my night, my week!

It is so good to hear from you. I think of you so often.

I'm sorry about your hospital admission but if it helped then it was worth it.

It sounds like some things are working out for you.

I hope your first day goes well tomorrow and that the specialist can help.

Sending so much love your way hon đź’—đź’—

Re: not coping

Awww @outlander ! I've missed you! I'm so glad to hear from you as I was increasingly worried. I'm mindful how hard things have been for you.

I'm so glad you have been approved for a house and that your work is more towards peer support. You will do so well as a peer support worker.  It's just in you.

Hugs hugs hugs! I'm so pleased to see you.

Re: not coping

Oh @outlander thank you so much for checking in. It is wonderful to hear from you.

I hope tomorrow is a great day and your specialist appointment goes well too.

Take care lovely 🩵

Re: not coping

hey @tyme @Snowie @Eve7

thank you for standing by me. its been hard to say the least. the hospital admission didnt help as much but i cant change that now.

i have so much to clean out of the current house im in at the moment so every day is overwhelming while i go through everything. ive decided to hire a cleaner to help me deep clean. i cant do it, its to much.

my lease ends in just over a week for here but i havent heard anything about a move yet. ive applied for quite a few houses though that are similar to public housing so i hope i get one of those houses since theyre new and modern. id love to have a nice house to call my own.

my first day at the new job went pretty well. ill have a lot to learn as to how to company etc works but im already matched with a few clients as well. the title in that company is 'Peer Mentor' rather then disability support worker.

the specialist i just seen was really good. he feels like my treatment in the past has been pushed aside to much and is surprised not many have picked up on a possible condition i have. i have to do 2 more tests across the next few weeks to make sure everything is ruled out. if its what he thinks it is though there is no cure only medications to help but its all neuropathic and a disorder of the gut and brain connection through the nervous system.

Re: not coping

Sometimes getting a helping hand is so much easier @outlander

I'm glad the specialist went well and your first day at your job did too.

Hopefully things fall in place for your housing situation.

Re: not coping

Sending lots of love to you for today @outlander
