Re: not coping

Hello @outlander hope you’re on the improve my friend.

Re: not coping

Hey @outlander, how are you doing?

Re: not coping

Hey @outlander ,

I feel like I haven't spoken to you in a long time. How are you going? Are you okay?

Sorry for all these questions. No need to answer if you don't feel up to it. I'm just wondering how everything is going for you. I recognise that it's been really hard lately, so I wanted to check-in with you.

Re: not coping

hey @creative_writer @tyme @Eve7

it has been tough the last few days. the new job i took on after the one i had closed down now doesnt have any work for me through unforseen circumstances. ive had to go back to the most toxic environment even my psychologist doesnt want me there but i need the money so i have to be there at this stage but have made the agreement to only work night shifts.
ive also been in extreme pain with this medical condition. the specilist has accepted my request for an urgent appt so ill be travelling on tuesday with a support worker to go see him as hes a few hours away and im unable to drivethat far with these pain levels and fatigue.

ive also been trying to manage intense urges again. some ive not been able to manage successfully so ive had to see the gp. shes asked me to do check ins weekly and have to increase my psychology sessions where i can.

have been having more and more symptoms that some conditions have declined so i have added 2 more specialists to the list and they are seeing me next week to help me manage them so itll be a massive week of appointments.

ive not heard from ndis yet either but i called to at least check they received the application and they have. its been just over a month now so hopefully theyll reach a decision soon.

Re: not coping

Hey @outlander ,

Thanks for the update. It doesn't sound very good in many ways though. I hear that you are in a lot of pain and having to deal with finding work is very stressful.

Are there online jobs you can do like making calls or something?

I really hope things improve for you.

Thinking of you, tyme

Re: not coping

That doesn’t sound good at all @outlander I am so sorry you are having to deal with all of this. I really wish I could do more to help.

Hopefully a better job comes up soon and at least you have your qualifications now so keep looking.

Im glad you have someone going with you to your next appointment.

Sending lots of love ❤️

Re: not coping

@outlander, it sounds like it’s been very rough for you lately. Sending you lots of hugs and love 💖🫂. It is awful going back to a toxic environment, it really does affect your mental health, I know when I was in one it sent me off the edge. I hope you find a more nurturing job, hun.

I am glad to hear that you’ve been able to manage urges. You are valuable and really important to us. I hope next week appointments are helpful for you and I hope you hear back from NDIS soon. NDIS is a headache itself, I hope they are able to offer some help

Re: not coping

i dont know @tyme i dont like answering the phone or making calls as it is so wouldnt do things like telemarketing.

health isnt great so not really interesting in working right now anyway or have the motivation. i dont like the job that much and i have no motivation to do it since the other company shut down.

@Eve7 ive been qualifed for all the jobs but i keep upskilling. have cert 3 and 4s in several areas.

i have been hiring support workers and paying for them privately its basically all that my work pays for at this stage but i dont have much of a choice. mentally and physically im declining. i had the support worker help me wash and do my hair the other day because i just couldnt do it.
today i havent even gotten out of bed. got up to do pops lunch but that was it. been in bed the entire day and im still tired

Re: not coping

@creative_writer it has been tough.
i am struggling to do anything let alone work. probably not great to be trying to find something else yet. when the owners are back for the horses i help to loo after im quitting that as well as i just dont have the health or energy to do it anymore. struggle to look after my own horses and even myself and the house chores at this stage.

who knows how long itll take, some people are waiting 6 months if not more to hear from ndis but hopefully it wont take that long
