I'm trying to remain positive, but I am finding it hard in my daily battle with drug-induced diabetes. Sadly, diabetes is a side effect from the anti-psychotic I take. When the Doctors at Hospital stop the drug I have been prayed for by the church and have gone into a remission of type 1 diabetes in 2003 and later when they stopped another drug and prayed for me, I went into a remission of diabetes type 2. All the praise goes to Beloved Jesus!
Hopefully, we can pray for safer drugs as some of the side effects of these medications can be dangerous. I've suffered from really high blood pressure on these drugs that I wouldn't normally suffer from, thyroid problems, drug-induced diabetes, severe motor agitation, dystonia. And when the medication is stopped I get some reprieve and don't suffer at all from these side effects.
I'd just like to add after years of taking different medications, I've finally found one with fewer extrapyramidals. Please keep praying for a cure for diabetes and for safer drugs. God bless you all.

@Former-Member,
Ya actually it took me a few years of trying several different medications to find the right one. But at least the anti-psychotic I take now has improved efficacy and with fewer extrapyramidals/ side effects. One of the pleasant side effects listed is euphoria, and believe me this is great to feel. The drug is good in that it slows down my thinking and totally relaxes me and blocks my mother's voices and or voices mostly. It alleviates depression and some people with depression can take it and it is highly effective. Ya, it's the perfect drug for me, except for the drug -induced diabetes lol.
