Re: Riding a wave
I can fill you in if you'd like?
@Phoenix_Rising and I have decided to embark on DBT adventure together but not by reading the DBT skills manual. Phoenix_rising has already read it, to the extent that she was able to point out the page that something came from when the CATT jumped into my mess and made it messier, but I haven't read it. After thinking about it for a little while, I decided to get my hands on a copy too and phoenix_rising decided to update her exisiting copy with the new edition on the same day. So now our books are racing from the UK to Aus. I thought they came by ship, because apparently my head is somewhere before plane travel happened! Turns out postal service has become air travel now 😉 Our books left the book factory yesterday and are 'winging' it here now, according to the email this morning.
That's about it really 🙂

Re: Riding a wave
That makes complete sense now @CheerBear and puts it all into context - thanks
Now the 'winging it' message is very funny. I think I still have in the back of my mind that most things from overseas come by ship - must be the 'shipping information' message at the end of online transactions that subconsciously puts that in the back of my mind!!!! (maybe little turtle's literal brain is rubbing off on me lol)
If it is ok I would be interested in reading along with you guys?

Re: Riding a wave
Zoe I would so much love to go on any adventure with you too and am fairly confident that phoenix_rising would too.
I really miss our SPP adventures and am looking forward to the next chance we have to play parties together, whenever it can work for both/all of us. Forum adventures like this give me something to look forward to and something to keep me distracted through some tricky times. Plus I seem to get lots of laughs when we go off on party planning missions.
I have to get my fish ready for our day now. They're being pretty full on already. I'm glad we bumped into each other this morning Zoe.

Re: Riding a wave
Good evening @CheerBear, @Zoe7 and anyone else who may be on the ocean this evening. I have actually managed to stay off the forum since this morning - well done me. I am superly duperly tired now and about to snuggle into my shell for the night.
@Zoe7 I am super excited that you want to join CheerBear and I on our DBT adventure. This is the book that we will be working through (but definitely don't feel that you need to have it to join in): https://www.bookdepository.com/DBT-Skills-Training-Manual-Marsh-M-Linehan/9781462516995?ref=grid-vie...
Ok, I'm almost asleep on my...er...flippers so this is me signing off for the night.

Re: Riding a wave
Only two more sleeps until I see my turtle whisperer and then HOPEFULLY she will be able to help me unmuddle the muddle of last Wednesday. Right now I feel like I don't want to ever leave my underwater cave. Right now I don't have any energy left to ride the wave. I feel SO awful. The adventure of last week came so totally out of the blue, and it has just smashed me - again. But that's ok, I can snuggle in my super snuggly cave for as long as I need to, and know that I'm not alone in my muddle.
Goodnight @CheerBear. I have been thinking about you and your LF today, and wondering how the day has been for you. I imagine it might have been a bit wonky. I'm glad I can be with you (but not) in your wonkiness.
Goodnight Forum Land.

Re: Riding a wave
We met one of your relatives on our adventure, and you came out of my handbag super sneakily to snap a quick selfie with him/her which I can show you sometime if you'd like. I flicked through my photos of the LF today and laughed catching this one in them all.
I hear you with the lack of energy and feeling awful, and am feeling a similar way. I'm glad you have your turtle whisperer. Two sleeps isn't long now. Maybe by the time you read this it will be one.
Goodnight phoenix_rising 🙂

Re: Riding a wave
@CheerBear I'm super glad you and your LF had a fun day yesterday despite internal wonkiness. I would super love to see the picture of me with one of my relatives.
I think I will be spending the day in my underwater cave today. Only one more sleep now until I see my turtle whisperer. I superly duperly hope she can help me unmuddle my muddle of last week.
