Re: Riding a wave
@Former-Member just me being negative again! Don't take any notice of that
@Phoenix_Rising maybe we can spend some time over the next few days and I can walk you through how to put images together (my way lol) - would that help as a distraction? You have certainly been alongside me over the past few weeks - and even though it doesn't feel like it at the time, it has made a huge difference

Re: Riding a wave
I know you make them @Zoe7..thats what a makes them so amazing!
It really sucks that today was meant to be the calm before the storm @Phoenix_Rising and I know that your session on Tuesday feels like forever away, but you have done this many times before so I have full confidence that you can ride this out until then. You have all of us here in the ocean helping to keep you safe until then
Hopefully the storm will quiten somewhat for you to do your marking next week or maybe the marking will give you a welcome distraction from the storm.

Re: Riding a wave
I need to log off for a while @Phoenix_Rising but I will try to check in on how the ocean is for you later. I've just hit a few waves myself (thought I was far enough back on the beach and high enough on my rock stack ). They are only little waves so hopefully they will die down soon and not develop into a tsunami! Keep swimming little turtle

Re: Riding a wave
Silly me @Zoe7 I figured you did but I did clearly say 'find' earlier. You are very creative 🙂
Don't worry @Phoenix_Rising I'm a good jumper so no need for me to touch your shell

@Former-Member I am not as confident as you are that you can successfully jump over little turtle without touching her shell - have you seen how tiny your legs are LOL

Re: Riding a wave
@Zoe7 super big thank you for hanging out with me here on the ocean today. I agree with you about @Former-Member aspirations of leap-frogging over me. Her legs really are super short aren't they.
I would super like you to teach me how to make pictures sometime. I really need to keep working at staying off the forums a bit and I have a bazillion things to do here in the real world now after losing the past three days to wave-riding. However we will definitely connect sometime for picture-making lessons.
I see that you had a little bright spot today but that the darkness has now descended again. I know how superly duperly difficult it is to hang onto the bright spots. For what it is worth, you have been a bright spot in my world today.
@Former-Member today has been super super stormy on the ocean...and I'm not overly optimistic about tomorrow being any better. I feel scared about tomorrow. I'm already struggling so much and I am pretty sure things are going to get darker tomorrow. I feel super alone...but I can do this can't I. I can ride the waves and I'm not really alone here in Forum Land am I.
Good night @Former-Member. Super big thank you for watching over the ocean.

Re: Riding a wave
I truly believe you can do this, and ride the waves - no matter how rough (your "yoga-ing" experience demonstartes you are a warrior after all! ). You are definitely not alone here in Forum Land - We are here to Ride the Waves with you, Little Turtle!
The Little Mermaid is watching over the ocean for you tonight!

Re: Riding a wave
oh wow @Phoenix_Rising that is really sweet of you to say I know how hard it is for both of us to hold onto those little bits of light but you have ALWAYS sent some of it my way by just 'being around' and letting me know you are 'hearing me' - that means more than words can often say - especially when I am in my own dark place. Tonight I will hold a candle just for you on the shore - so you can see you are not alone in the ocean

Re: Riding a wave
I am not really into the waves - I used to surf - body surfing was okay - board riding was quite different - but I used to lie down on the board - even if the other surfies laughed at me
So I was put to the test in Sydney - the whale watching cruises go out into the ocean - ah - not keen - and I was very glad when the decision was taken away from me when the weather was too rough - but I did ride around Sydney Harbour in the ferries - and that was quite enough
So when it comes to your big waves - I remember getting dumped once and I didn't like it - so your imagery really speaks to me -
Maybe my life was a surf-storm in the past - I never thought about it in those terms but Port Phillip Bay can spring up into lethal storms from nothing and that's too much for me
So thinking of you in super-surf means I feel fear for you - I am not good at it - and I hope you can find people to keep you safe
I am truly a land-lubber but then - I love flying - my plane flew down the east coast - I couldn't see any whales from up there but I saw lots of boats - and then the plane flew east to Melbourne across the snow covered mountains
So - in your surf - imagine flying with me in the sky - for me - that's safe - I like it - I hope you could too

Re: Riding a wave
Today I can already feel myself having to work really hard to do the things I need to for my sole purpose for exisiting. They have lots of important to them things they've asked me to do today and it means getting out and about for most of the day and into the evening. I know you have a day that has the potential to be very tricky, and I get how scary potentially tricky days can be when they follow wonky and wobbly days. I've got my bigger handbag with me today and there's room for everyone in it (and maybe I can still squeeze in my wallet and phone), so everyone is coming along today and we will all be together but not.
I will be thinking of you throughout the day, hoping that it doesn't play out in a way that is as difficult for you as it has the potential to. I'm looking forward to today being over already, and everytime I feel like that my brain jumps to 'I'm super glad I don't live on Venus'. Thank you for teaching me that trick.
I'm so looking forward to getting my 500+ pages of hope that I can change something for my mashed brain, which is now 4-7 business day away.
I'll be here even when I am not today too.
